Evaluate the Preseason

You blocked me? Well screw you too dude!!! Alabama sucks. Derrick Henry is the worst. I hope we don't draft Calvin Ridley.

(Sarcasm)
No, I see your post and DC boy's. Just had no clue why you two are talking Westbrook out of nowhere. Then remembered this board is clever so also ignores the quotes of ignored people.

2 things. First he isnt being drafted this year he is being drafted for the future. Second did ANYONE expect that despite losing multiple players on the DLine that not only would it not be a weakness but that EVERY draft pick who had not put it together yet would suddenly decide to play at a pro bowl level all at the same time. Had that not shockingly happened he would have been useful depth.

If if if if. But he is useless. Mediocre skills at best. Correa of the line

I also don't see how we cut any of our 7 drafted defensive lineman and feel Ricard makes it eight. I still feel one of these players will get traded, but we can't let the walk.

1. Williams
2. Pierce
3. Urban
4. Kaufusi
5. Davis
6. Wormley
7. Henry
8. Ricard
I know it's an unpopular opinion but if I wanted to trade anyone it'd be Urban. He's a FA next year and we're unlikely to keep him and his value is probably inflated due to being awesome in the preseason. Best to get something in return rather than nothing. That being said, it's beyond unlikely so yeah. I'd say Davis is going to be traded out of all of them because Henry's ceiling is higher and he's straight up explosive.
How good our DLine is and how terrible WR depth is. Wormley was a waste of a pick. If Westbrook remains free of drama he is a steal. Wormley is useless unless like 4 DLine players go down with season ending injuries
Urban is a FA next year. Unlikely to retain him
Davis is a FA the offseason after that. Unlikely to retain him as well. Suddenly Wormley becomes a player of decent value for the two seasons after that.
Oh, and the year before? Kaufausi and Henry are both free agents.
Think of the big picture.

Sorry I shoulda elaborated. I don't think Wormley is gonna be anything above mediocre. I'm sure we resign one of our DLine players

Hill's job is likely secure. No need to risk him getting injured..

*knocks on all the wood*
Pretty impressive if that's the case that the coaches were confident enough to sit him. I look forward to seeing what he can do in the regular season, assuming he makes the team.

Before anything else are you going to claim you did not think the DL would be an issue before the draft because if not you would literally be the only person watching football who thinks so.

All those lists that are ranking the Ravens in the bottom 1/3 for front 7 and 28th for DL are basing that ENTIRELY on the fact that NONE of the players not named BWill were doing anything before this year. DLine was the sole weakness of the defense going into training camp and now there are so many bodies the Ravens dont know what to do with them. That is a GOOD problem to have.

Also it is idiotic to call someone a bust before they have even played a real game. I get that I shouldnt be surprised because you want him to be a bust to justify your earlier position so any reason you have to say it you will say it but its silly to call a rookie 3rd round depth choice a bust just like when it was silly for people to call Kafusi a bust after getting injured in his rookie year.

There really are not a lot of options at slot corner and the last thing the Ravens want is to have to go to the 4th best option. When you are down the starter and the backup and a 3rd string comes along who look great, you wrap him in teflon and protect him until at least the 2 gets back later in the year.

Dude, I never said bust. I said mediocre, unspectacular. And it's my opinion on him. And I don't want him to bust. I would welcome him if he becomes a standout. If he is then I was wrong about him. That all :) But I prefer dynamic football offense to defense. That and it would be cool to finally find a young WR whose best football is yet to come. To grow with Joe Flacco. As opposed to retiring after building some chemistry

Urban would probably bring the bigger prize if we traded him. What would you trade him for?? OLine I would guess?? WR/TE maybe. Should wait for him to have a dominant game in regular season so he returns a bigger reward.

Being loaded at Dline and Wormley probably needing a redshirt year, wished we took Chris Godwin or Kareem hunt. Hindsight 20/20 though

Poor Ozzie and John.
They have a very difficult day today and tomorrow. They are going to have to let go of some very good players.
