2017 College Football Thread

tagovailoa has unbelievably great footwork in the pocket already - he bounces around looking downfield and has half decent pocket presence already - eyes downfield and he stands in the pocket and throws with anticipation - as a freshman he's already ahead of jalen hurts in terms of pro-career development - if Bama moves forward with Tua he'll be a qb ill be interested in watching in the future

jake fromm and tua tagovailoa are best friends, both freshman and are now potentially gonna be going against each other at the top of CFB for a couple of years to come

When is jake Fromm coming out? I'd be down to tank for this guy, he looks special, he is putting crossers on the money, diagnosing alabamas defensive calls, dropping dimes downfield. Holy shit this guy is for rral

Why do these stations bother paying rules experts if all they do is say the ref made the right decision every time?

Fromm's a true freshman

i wonder what tua would look like if he had played as much as fromm for the year...
that int was a mess but coming on at half time to try and win a college national championship isnt ideal in terms of preparation

as much as i imagine it hurts seeing this for you as a bama fan but this could mark the start of a brilliant rivalry between these 2 teams for a few years - they have qbs who are best friends and both have translatable traits and seemingly strong minds for the game and both are freshman...

tua seems to already have great pocket movement and footwork
fromm already seems to be able to read complex coverages really well

Never knew Joe Flacco came in at QB for Alabama. Forcing that pass for an interception. Doesn't he know that's the kind of stuff you do after 10 years of playing in the NFL?

And they're both draft-eligible when we'd save $20 million by cutting Joe.

I have to admit that I'd be down to try to add a couple of pieces around Joe for another couple of years while it's not worth the effort to cut him (WR1, Witten/Kelce-type TE, Yanda replacement, etc) and then go all Leeroy Jenkins and make a Philly-style trade for a QB who looks the goods when we have a better team around this hypothetical next QB. And the freshmen this year are probably going to be the first batch of players eligible for a play like that if we do go down that road.
