The OL Thread

I like Will Hernandez as a guard, but man he needs to improve his technique. Currently he is winning on strength. He would do much better with better hand placement as he rarely brings his hands inside. He also needs to improve his knee bend.

He has a high ceiling at the next level, but only if he improves his technique.

Any decent NFL oline coach would help him out with his issues. Not worried about Hernandez. Especially since Joe is better than decent

That's exactly right. Not that it's something to be scared of, as stated above it's coachable and Hernandez is still a day one starter. But from a mauler like him you'd like more pop from his hands.

Also the Ravens have been really good at coaching up linemen lately, so I'd have no issues with drafting him.

Don’t like him in pass pro slow feet but a mauler in the run game kind of like Mike Iupati. Rather take Conner Williams and slide him in a RT. I think he’s an All pro at RT

You know, I was watching some games and I was really impressed by Skura. I thought he was a good pass blocker but a non factor as a run bloker. Turns out he's really strong and from the small sample I saw he really pushed people around. I think he has to be in plan for C next year.

He's a natural center, but would rather draft another center to compete.

I would draft Harrison Phillips in round3 and convert him to center. Would be an all pro center.
Lol this is just silly.... First of all, Phillips is not falling to the 3rd round, and 2nd theres no reason for him to move to C. Hes a damn good DT. Reminds me a lot of Kyle Williams

When it comes to oline, I am much more concerned about guard than center or RT. We badly need someone that can be the successor to Yanda.
