Fire Marty

I mean if we lose in Minnesota and then win out the rest of the season Harbaugh will be MORE than safe. ( yes my example is as ridiculous as it can be, but that is kinda the point. )

We are a lot of things, but mathematically removed from the playoffs is not one of them.

Especially considering the struggles of the Steelers and our win over Cincy in their home stadium. An 8-8 season might be enough to win the division.

Granted we would be one and done, but the possibility does exist.

I don’t know about anyone else , but I think this Vikings game will make or break our season and decide whether
Harbaugh is fired during the offseason.
If it’s another clunker like the Bears game , Harbaugh’s days are numbered .
all the injuries and the lack of offensive playmakers will save him from being canned but he will be asked to replace the coordinators and ozzie will be asked to focus on the offense in the draft/fa. only defensive player i would draft in the 1st rd. would be the top pass rusher if he fell to us otherwise he should be all in on the offense

Which would be Arden key, a guy I absolutely would not take if we're picking high

have not kept up with college this season but i will take your word on him. i personally hope ozzie focuses on offense in the early rounds and bypasses his bpa method at least for the 1st few selections

Does anyone seriously think Marty deserves most of the blame for our offensive woes?
The comparison I'd make is like the movie Titanic, where (spoiler alert) the boat hits the iceberg and you hear that loud scrape as the hull cracks open and the engineer says things will be fine as long as five of the nine compartments stay intact. I don't think I'd encounter much disagreement if I said that at least five of our offensive compartments have been filled with water - and Marty's one of them. Whether or not he's the most important compartment is difficult to say, but if we're keeping one compartment around we'd best make sure we're improving four others.

Physically he is a clone of Leonard Floyd, but without the incredible football iq and refinement that Floyd had coming out. Floyd was a great football player all around, multiple LB positions, great run blitzer, great hand usage and set up his rush with a game plan, played coverage very well, just an awesome edge rusher who did a lot of other things very well, key is just a lanky and lightweight edge rusher.

You're dreaming, I think
But you would have to agree that the AFC North is not nearly as competitive as it used to be. The Steelers, Ravens, and Bengals all look flat. Going 9-7 and winning the division this year I don't think wouldn't be far off. I don't think any of those teams have enough talent to win 11+ games this year. Maybe the Steelers go on and prove otherwise but their team looks flat with all that money they spent on their offense and their defense is athletic for sure but they definitely have weaknesses teams exploit.

what's surprising to me is that i dont think any of the afc north teams are set up well for the future in any case - older franchise qbs who are underperforming or no qb at all, underperforming offences with emerging but non-dominant defences with in most cases at least 1 crushing weakness - now it could change but in terms of the future these teams all seem pretty hamstrung by something

Just to add on, Ardent Key got up to 270 and then dropped to 255, so he's not lightweight...
