what's surprising to me is that i dont think any of the afc north teams are set up well for the future in any case - older franchise qbs who are underperforming or no qb at all, underperforming offences with emerging but non-dominant defences with in most cases at least 1 crushing weakness - now it could change but in terms of the future these teams all seem pretty hamstrung by something
I agree I actually think right now the AFC North is probably the worst looking division right now and they have been a top 3 division for so long in terms of talent. All teams haven't seemed to wake up. I also think that with the Browns. I hyped them thinking they would get more wins than the Bengals this year and they somehow play up to their opponent and lose most games by only one score but always find a way to lose. Hue Jackson isn't getting wins as a Brown coach.

i was with you - i didnt think theyd be the 3rd team in the division but i thought they'd be better - i thought theyd be playing like the 49ers and would have a couple of wins (probably over the colts and jets) but if anything they have an influx of talent and look worse than they did last year - i know its early but it already looks like there's a lack of buy in from the players with jackson

I just read a summary of Bisciotti's interview. This is why I love this guy. I can tell you I know what shitty ownership looks like, and he is the absolute opposite of that. He knows when to let his guys work and when to talk. And when he talks, he is spot on. He knows his shit.

I honestly saw 5-6 wins for them and who knows maybe they turn it around.. But it doesn't look likely. It looks like another year they will get a top 5 talent player. I thought Jackson would do well as a coach and they got some good pick ups while he has been there but with no wins to show for it I think Jackson may be a better OC than a HC. Which isn't necessarily a knock on him because he is a heck of an OC.

I totally agree. If you want to see awful ownership, look no further than 30 miles south of Baltimore and the reason I’m a Ravens fan.

i liked harold landry last year too before he decided to go back to school but im not sure id take him over one of the linemen - especially after seeing mcglinchey win his matchups vs landry
Well, personally, I'm not taking an edge rusher that high after drafting Bowser and Williams with the uptick in play from Smith, but I think Landry will get a lot of consideration for a high picking team.

If the Ravens want an edge rusher at some point, I would think a guy like Hubbard in round two or a Josh Sweat in that two to three range.

I love Bisciotti and him talking. He definitely knows how to handle a business and when to cut ties with players or coaches. I really do think he is one of the smartest if not the smartest owners in football.

I actually could see the Ravens going BPA and getting an edge rusher if they really think Suggs is almost out the door. A lot of young potential but none of them have really ran away with a job yet which is concerning once Suggs does leave.

I hear what you are saying, but we have too many offensive needs. I have no issues with defense in the 4th round, but offense should be the first three rounds. Best offensive player available, unless the defensive player is a good amount better than the offensive player.

remember we may also have an extra 3rd round comp pick for wagner leaving

I do remember this as a possibility. A very good possibility as well.

he's their starting tackle and i think his contract was the one that wasnt cancelled out by the free agent acquisitions we made so im pretty sure that at worst we are getting one of the higher 4th rounders but likely a 3rd id imagine

Floyd? Great hand usage? Leonard Floyd? From Georgia? No no no bro
Lol he had great hand usage but he wasn't strong enough to make it a "strength" of his, his game is predicated off speed but if he didn't know how to use his hands he would've been knocked on his ass from just a little shove

if he gets fired i would hope that harbs gives him an interview at the least. he did some good things with flacco when he was drafted.

I do believe it will be a 3rd
