The Good, the Bad, the Ugly, and the Ravens Offense: Week 6 Edition

It’s like you people forget Perriman was really raw out of college. He is literally in his second year (I don’t count his rookie year), and he’s never had a healthy offseason to actually develop. I hope he freaking puts it together and leaves after next year and becomes a pro bowler somewhere just so I can laugh at you people saying he’s been a bust for a long time.
Wanna bet ?

It makes me wonder what some of our guys could do with better coaching.

Wait ... weren't you the one criticizing people for acting like they wanted him to fail, when we're all Ravens fans? And now you hope he succeeds elsewhere so you can tell us all "I told you so"?

Pathetic.

I'll take that bet, when he's out of the league i'll say I told you so. Also lets hope we never draft anyone "really raw" again.

I don’t care what happens the rest of the season , it’s time to move on from the Harbaugh -Flacco era . It’s been fun . One ring , should have had two . But decent overall . We made the playoffs several times .
This boat has sailed .

You people who week in and week out get on here and holler "cut this guy cut that guy " blah blah blah crack me up.

Have you seen our depth chart ? ( or lack thereof )
It is not like we have pro bowlers sitting on the bench or sitting by the phone just waiting for Ozzie to call. Cutting this guy or that guy will SOLVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IF THERE IS NOT A *BETTER* REPLACEMENT, which there isn't because if they were actually better THEY WOULD BE PLAYING ALREADY.

Duh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not saying they don't "suck" but I am saying they are the best we got and we have NO OPTION other than to work with what we got.

Well, I've grown weary of all of this. The game was bad enough, this isn't helping.

I'll just go away, try and forget the torture that was today's game and come back next week - but with as much emotional detachment as I can muster. I have to see this season as a failure and will be pleasantly surprised if it is anything else.

I would disagree with this sentiment vehemently.

I think we saw last year that and even against the Raiders that Wallace can still produce at a high level. We know that Maclin can be on when he's playing. Benjamin Watson has been shockingly good for this team. Alex Collins is proving to be a damn good runner. Ronnie Stanley, Ryan Jensen, and Austin Howard provide a really good core of offensive lineman.

This offense has plenty of talent and has players capable of making plays.
You can sort of justify us having 'ok' WRs but TEs, RBs, and O-line we are paper thin.

For weeks our biggest problem on offense aside from Mornewhig and our clear cut lack of energy/sense of urgency...is our o-line. Even with a healthy Yanda, that makes 'maybe' 2/5...maybe 3/5ths of a capable O-line. Stanley is ok, Howard is fair(but there's a reason he got let go from Oak) and it's too early to call Jensen formidable let alone solid. So to me our o-line is very much lagging in the talent dept.

Same goes for our RBs and TEs. Terrance West and Nick Boyle (lol) were our starters wk1 until they easily got outplayed by an old man in Ben Watson and a former UDFA Alex Collins. I mean we had to use 3 RBs to get the production we should have gotten from 1 back ala the Ray Rice days, and never really and still have yet to truly break the bank running the football this year.

Ben Watson is decent when healthy but he's no Todd Heap or Dennis Pitta. So to say our offense is anywhere close to stacked with weapons is a farfetched statement

When we say cut , we mean next season . FYI .

True. You know what it means when we lose to awful teams? It means we're worse.

Well, to me it seemed like our offense picked up after Perriman and Maxx Williams got injured after hilariously turning the ball over and doing what they do best- leaving with injury.

It seems like we were better off with Wallace, Moore and Camp on offense than Perriman's worthless ass lol. I'd be fine running Wallace Maclin and Moore with camp as out #4

I never said our offense was anywhere near stacked, so I'm not sure where you're getting that idea.

Sure, the offense is paper thin and that's what happens when you lose Urschel, Siragusa, Lewis, Yanda, and Skura. Let me know what offensive line can withstand that. As for Jensen and Howard, they've played exceptionally well for the Ravens. I don't care why he was let go from Oakland, with regards to Howard (injuries, by the way) because he's playing really well here in Baltimore.

Who cares if Collins was an UDFA (he wasn't, by the way)? The fact of the matter is he's averaging over 7 yards per carry and has this propensity to break off long runs and gain yardage when the play feels lost. I think Collins has had a 20+ yard run in each game he's played this season. Does it really matter if we need three running backs to get production? Because right now, the Ravens are sixth in total rushing yardage in the entire NFL and averaging nearly 4.5 yards per carry. That's pretty damn good.

Sure, Watson isn't going to just bust out and have 100 yard receiving games, but he's an incredibly steady presence that Flacco clearly trusts when the Ravens need a first down. He's got good hands and converts. That's all the Ravens need from him. Plus, he's proven to be a really good blocker.

When exactly do you think he will be out of the league?
As soon as ethically possible.

Again I will ask...what has Breshad Perriman done for the Baltimore Ravens.

His best season? As the #3 option 33/499/3

We drafted him to be a 70-90rec/1000yd/5TD minimum type of player. Injuries have plagued him causing him to fall the 3-4th string because he has not been on the field to develop with Flacco, and of the times he gets an opportunity to shine he often flops

ya know despite all the reasons we have to piss and moan ya gotta admit that was a super exciting fourth quarter and OT. I mean I don't think I have yelled at the TV at all this season.
