that's never really been his game - it's not even a move he really tries much

it's all about that jump cross-chop and then he'll throw in some variations like speed-to-power, a spin move or occasionally he'll underhand rip on an inside move

he knows that his effectiveness as a rusher comes from his speed and that he challenges tackles on the outside

the thing that makes it look like he's stiff though is that when he puts in that cross-chop if the tackle times the punch right with him off the ground it can negate his ability to turn the corner
 
Ok but why do we look bad? I don't get it. We're totally in the thick of it with a bad team. Like this can only be one of 2 things, our players aren't as good as I think they are, or we just get out schemed and coached basically every week. Which is it?

i mean it's a combination of a few things

but notable that we havent punted yet

this game is only close because of 2 bad plays - the special teams giving up the return and the lamar pick

it's also notable that Lamar's 8/10 passing and both misses were to hollywood - one was the pick and the other was when hollywood didnt bother getting his 2nd foot in

Fair question and it's always hard to know exactly since we cant even see the whole field most of the time, but I think they genuinely arent that good. Boh Pitt games were absolutely winnable and they also lost to a three win team in New England.
Only the Jets have a worse passing offense than the Ravens.

Baltimore just isn't all that great this year.

Plus covid. Imagine playing after you just had a bad flu. It might have a negative effect on your game.

Now there's certainly x and o things too but ik it trying to write a book in the game thread.
