The Good, the Bad, and the Dolphins: Week 8 Edition

And I have a really serious question for people- I can't remember which quarter it was or who the receiver was, but I think it was Caroo.

Caroo was working down the sideline and Humphrey and he were running hip to hip and the ball was thrown well short and way out of bounds. People get really upset that he didn't turn his head because he could have had an interception or almost allowed a catch by not turning his head.

Am I the only one who saw that throw and immediately thought it was unplayable by any DB because of how much that placement screamed back-shoulder fade... or just really awful ball placement?

I think that would have been a tough play for any DB to make, but I would need to see the play again to make sure.

Humphrey had a great game though. Even the catch that he gave up to Stills, he was draped all over him and almost knocked the ball loose; Stills just made a nice catch.

Even with Brandon playing well I think I like the physicality that Humphrey brings and I kinda wish we saw more of him over Carr going down the stretch. Carr is good overall but sometimes gives some gimmes. The catches Humphrey has allowed this season he has been draped over them or Crabtree pushing off.

Think he needs to gain back some of his wait. I know he did it for coverage and to be an all around edge player, but damn. Too early to tell though. Give him more time as well. He’s still a damn good 5th rounder even if he doesn’t get any better.

He lost his weight to fast and wasn't careful enough. When you lose the weight to fast you lose muscle and strength with it. If trainer knows what he is Judon coulda cut 20lbs without losing any power. But as it stands he isn't the same caliber player as last year. But he can get it together and rush QBs again. 4 sacks in 6 games as a rookie isn't a fluke. Judon can play

Same here. I have no problems with Carr, but he does play some soft coverage at times and will give easy completions. If Humphrey isn't starting by the end of the season then I'll be surprised and disappointed.

I'd have liked to have seen more than 7 snaps from J.Hill. I know Webb is the love of harbaughs life but he's just meh aside from a blitz or two.

I really liked Caroo coming out of college!! Similar skills as Pierre Garçon. But Dolphins are gonna wreck and waste that dudes talent!! Caroo could be a stud on many teams including ravens

I think getting Skura back helped a ton. I don't think the guy is amazing or Yanda by any stretch but he is at least decent, it really goes a long way.

Definitely. Skura isn't great by any means but he's a much better option than Eluemunor who just isn't ready to play yet

And he set the edge pretty well last year.

I think it would have been an insanely tough play for any wide receiver to even make, let alone a DB. That throw was horrendous.

I seem to remember a lot of people on here liking him if not for the off the field.

True. I was thinking more along the lines of if Moore had placed the ball where he meant to place it (presumably, on the back shoulder). If that was the case then it would have been hard for any DB to predict, let alone Humphrey who's a rookie.

He had a couple blocks that stood out to me and I was impressed. And I have been hard on him from the get go. Hopefully that trend continues.

Of course of the few analysts who say it was a bang-bang play on the Flacco hit, the list includes Bill Cowher and Bucky Brooks. Some of the biggest Raven haters out there -.-

Carroo? I had him mocked to us and took him in forum mock game. His off the field was overblown, he did nothing.
On that play you mentioned few posts earlier, it wasn't Carroo, it was Jakeem Grant.
