The game is so slanted to offense that would be overkill to me. Remember a few years ago there was a force out rule that stated that if a defender pushed a reciever out of bounds before he could get his feet down then he was ruled in bounds. I don’t think QBs have avoided throwing toward the sidelines.

but unlike the other plays you refer to, the td--> touchback rule just seems so overpowered

it would have almost been more fitting for this game to happen in week 17 so that the lions could be the team to beat down the browns and send them to 0-16

not rewarding - just not punishing them when the defence hasn't necessarily made a play

Not only do the Colts let the Steelers stay in the game but allow them to do so so the refs can help dictate the game.

i just dont like plays like that to be a gut punch - it's an offensive league and yet for almost no reason the defence somehow gets a turnover and a free 20 yard return
