Next Up: @Pittsburgh

I am not penciling this in as a loss, especially since they have a tough game against a dirty team, which could result in injuries.

If the offense has a repeat performance, then we need to send a goon on the field to break ABs legs, because without jimmy smith we can't stop AB, no way in hell.

Our entire defense is gonna play excellent but one corner is gonna let AB roast the fuck out of us all night and the game likely will never be close. This is one game i simply see no way we win. AB might legitimately have 20 catches for 120+ yards

But 20 catches for 120 yards isn't containing lol
Sooooo.....how will our entire defense play excellent if AB roasts the fuck out of us and we're giving up yards and points like nobody's business??

Ok, 10/11 players excellent. AB is just gonna be pulling plays out of thin air
Gotcha. Well, I don't think our pass-rush will do much against this o-line. Hopefully, we can contain Bell to an extent, but this could get ugly for our defense without Jimmy.

Sizzle and Mosley seem to be at their absolute best vs the steelers, if our young guys can feed off of that and feel the rivalry despite being new here then we could see a good defensive performance... aside from AB.

I could see this game going either way. Pittsburgh will be coming off a short week, following what's likely going to be a very physical game. The Steelers are likely going to be peeking ahead to NE as well. That being said the Steelers are a very talented team and are always going to be hard to beat.

I dunno man, that's a big-ass if. We've seen Jimmy-less defenses on the road against good QBs. I can't remember if any one of those QBs had a bad game against us. Just sayin'...

It would be nice if Tuitt or heyward got banged up vs cinci today

the steelers have been blessed on the injury front. time for them to rack up. Vontaze..do your thing :/

There's definitely a huge difference between Marlon Humphrey and Shareece Wright though. Losing Jimmy sucks, but if there was ever a year it wouldn't be a season killer, it's probably this year.

This game is entirely on how we can contain AB. We will contain Bell, no worries here. Juju might be a problem. But if Ben doesn't have AB to bail him out we're going to feed off of his mistakes.

Their front seven is scary but the recent play if the OL and the diversity we showed yesterday have me optimistic. The Flacco we saw yesterday could carve up their secondary if he has time.

I think our TE and RB won't be able to produce much in the receiving game. It will be on the WR to catch a coupl deep passes and hopefully we can install our run game to keep them honest.

Last season the Ravens' barely loss from a goal line stretch by AB, that game without Jimmy Smith. This season the defense is younger and better. This is the game that the depth needs to show they can succeed without their best defensive player.

Is shazier hurt? He scares me. He's a game wrecker when he's healthy

he's playing on monday - he's been cleared to play and apparently is ready to go - have to think that if this is a physical game there's going to be some general attrition and wear on these teams come next weekend

I have been preparing myself for a loss, but if that offense shows up we are going to be difficult to beat. Also I think Humphrey coming in only having limited practice because of a hamstring effected him hopefully he is going to be healthy going into the next game.

I'm not so sure about us stopping Bell. We said this the past two seasons Jimmy has gone down. When he is on the field there is no need for a safety on that side of the field which helped in run support. We have been ran over in the past without him. Hopefully the depth kicks in now but I think people are not seeing this injury as big as they need to. The past few seasons literally have been the knife to the heart of the Ravens seasons. Until they prove they can play without him I think a lot of fans need to come down to Earth.

Yeah, like most I had this game as a loss and unfortunately still do.

i think a lot of us had detroit as a loss too, and the bears as a win so this season is stupidly nonconforming - in the NFC there has been a bit of a changing of the guard finally and the AFC is a mish mash of mediocre/average teams playing unpredictably

Yeah, that’s an understatement
