per jeff zrebiec: Ravens OC Marty Mornhinweg acknowledged that Joe Flacco is healthier now than he was earlier this season. Used that to explain why Flacco is moving around a little better.

ummm? so that's their answer??? really??? He magically got healthy between houston and detroit on a short week?

The rumored PED bust is flacco!

so positive on alex collins is that he didnt appear on the injury report despite the migraines - suggests to me that the team and player dont think it's a big deal/they've already resolved it

This is the biggest game for us Imo. If we can go in and beat them we have a real chance getting to atleast the conference championship. If not, I see us as a team with a 50% chance at a wild card win. Ik this game doesn’t impact our playoff chances much. Just how I feel about the team.

I wonder if he finally ditched the knee brace after he fucked it up again against Houston (dude needs to learn how to do a football slide lol). Not that he wasn't moving well enough with the brace on, but it seemed like he was more nimble against the Lions.

i think he ditched it - couldnt see it when rewatching bits of the game - and he did move better in the pocket - i dont think it affected him physically but i think mentally it was handicapping him

It will be interesting to see how he plays the rest of the season if the brace was actually handicapping him in some way. When Flacco had his historic playoff run, he was moving around very well in the pocket and extending plays. It might not seem like a big deal to many people, but Flacco's mobility has always been an underrated part of his game.

Thursday Injury Report: DNP: WR Jeremy Maclin (back), LB Za'Darius Smith (shoulder) Limited: G Jermaine Eluemunor (shoulder) Full: LB C.J. Mosley (neck)

so not sure what's going on with ZDS and Maclin but CJ practicing fully is great

joe had literally the best slide in football and it wasnt even close before the brace.

Not sure what the final word was but he had spinal surgery and his career is in jeopardy. Doctors feel he may never play again.
Yeah I saw that on FB. Sad, he was a rare breed, most athletic freakishly explosive linebacker I've ever watched. It's too bad nobody taught him proper tackling form because he's always speared with the crown of his helmet and it really was a matter of time. Doesn't make it any less sad though, the good news I suppose is that he will likely live a normal life and he got a 2nd payday and he can move on to safer endeavors

Didn't realize he got a 2nd deal.
