Next Up: @Pittsburgh

This loss wouldn't kill our chances. Would just have to win out, but I'd love to go into Pit and stomp them out.
The problem lies in our inability to close out the season lately. It doesn't matter who we play, but I don't know if we can win all the last 3 games even though we may be playing the Browns, Colts and Bengals. We are sure to flounder in the final stretch. So, I say if we lose the Sunday night game, it is entirely likely we could go on a losing spree and miss out on the post season. With the Ravens inconsistency you can't scoff at the premise.

The Ravens don't have to win out if they lose Sunday. In almost every scenario 9 wins gets you to the playoffs, that's why the oddsmakers have the Ravens at around 88% to make it in.

Thursday Injury Report: DNP: WR Jeremy Maclin (back), LB Za'Darius Smith (shoulder) Limited: G Jermaine Eluemunor (shoulder) Full: LB C.J. Mosley (neck)

so not sure what's going on with ZDS and Maclin but CJ practicing fully is great
If Maclin isn't practicing does it mean Perriman is the next man up? I would like to see him get an opportunity and kill the Steelers with speed.

I think about this all the time...

I hate to say it but I have a fair bit of doubt in the back of my mind, it's just hard to be confident in this squad, especially when we see trends continuing(jimmy injured in the home stretch)

Exactly. Not popular by any means but realistic.

Maybe in the future we let him play the first few couple of games in the year and then I/r him dtr and get him back as healthy as he can be down the stretch and into the playoffs

If there is one game to unleash Tyus and Tim it's this one. We just will never beat the Steelers if we can't put some pressure on Ben. We need to let those two play and I know they will answer. They showed already they can rush, please let them do it or we won't last long in this game.

YES! Ben has a goddamn sidestep in the pocket that will leave ZDS flat on his face often.

True. Maclin looks totally disinterested all season long.
Not sure about all season long ... in the early going, he seemed to be our go-to guy. Wallace wasn't doing anything and Maclin was pretty much our only productive wideout. He got hurt and was out basically 2 games, then returned and was effective in weeks 8 and 9.

Since the bye, though, he's been disappointing. Hopefully he steps it up to finish out the season.

So far Moore has been the next man up. If Maclin is out, then maybe Perriman won't be a healthy scratch again, but he's not going to be WR#2 - at least not based on what we've seen these past few weeks.

If he is active and they do put him on the field - I don't know about him killing the Steelers ... I'd settle for him having a stat line (other than # of drops).

Maclin looks like a WR that's on the verge of being phased out. He isn't a boldin or ssr caliber of vetern reciever.

My thinking is a little off kilter here. This is a game where we really ought to pull out all the stops. I know Perriman isn't playing well and not very productive. But, he does have the potential of breaking out and not stopping once that happens. My thought is he doesn't have much tape out there for the Steelers to dissect and prepare for. So, put him in there at WR 2 and let him just keep running the 9 route on every play. That'll keep the safeties out of the box for Alex Collins to capitalize on in the worst case. In the best case, he makes plays and changes the complexion of the game. I am rooting for this kid to break out although I must admit I've been disappointed with his production this far. But, this is a game when we have to get this kid going because if he does, then the next 3 games are going to be easier for us to win and so will be the playoffs imho.

Perriman lacks confidence..you want to play him in this huge game?...[/QUOT
Yes. Why not? We need to shake the pot and do the unexpected. Flacco has gotten more accurate over the last game and we can hope his accuracy issues were related to his ailing back ( logically can't buy it but emotionally have already bought in). Last game he played against the Texans, his two targets were way off the mark. So, how do you expect him to make plays on nothing? I say give him a shot and let him just run fast and furious and disrupt the Steelers defensive plan. I fully expect him to perform this game if given an opportunity. We are the underdogs anyway so what do we have to lose?

Don't try to have an argument with Sami about Perriman
