I'll remember this when perriman attempts to catch a ball and the ball flys off his finger into a DB or safties hand. Followed by a ''blessed'' tweet, followed by ''God has a plan''.

Right, seeing a young man understand the chance he has to play the game he loves even though he's faced with a lot of failures. Gotta hate that so much.

I

Yes. Why not? We need to shake the pot and do the unexpected. Flacco has gotten more accurate over the last game and we can hope his accuracy issues were related to his ailing back ( logically can't buy it but emotionally have already bought in). Last game he played against the Texans, his two targets were way off the mark. So, how do you expect him to make plays on nothing? I say give him a shot and let him just run fast and furious and disrupt the Steelers defensive plan. I fully expect him to perform this game if given an opportunity. We are the underdogs anyway so what do we have to lose?
My concern is that targeting him has come with risks. He's had a couple balls go his way that he didn't just drop, he mishandled or misplayed and resulted in picks. One (ball put right on the money), he flipped in the air and turned into pick 6. Yes, these examples happened some time ago (before the bye), but what positives have occurred since then?

I have always been holding out hope for him, but at some point, hope turns into a pipe-dream.

I understand the logic ... if we want to view this game as a loss if we play it safe and the only way we win is by going off script. I'm not 100% sure we need to view it that way. If we play the kind of game we did against the Lions (with Perriman on the shelf) we absolutely have a shot to beat the Steelers.

I don't think we miss Z'darius at all in this one.
Outside of an excellent front 7, the Steelers are weak at ILB and DB and the saftey position. If Flacco plays a good game, we can win. We need to contain Tuitt and Heyward. If we do that, that's half the battle won. Shaziers loss is a bigger impact than Jimmy.

If we had Yanda in this game, in particular, I'd feel confident about out ability to negate a lot of heyward and tuitt.

Except ZDS has big arms and a little head football IQ wise

Given our inconsistent play, do you really believe we can replicate the offensive efficiency vs. the Steelers in Heinz Field? I'm not so sure we are such a team quite yet. We are mind bogglingly inconsistent especially on offense. Don't forget not too long ago after we beat the Raiders the offense seemed to have come alive somewhat as well. After that? Not so good till the Lions game. To me, this is a must win game if we seriously harbor any hopes for a good playoff run. If it is a must win, then we need to do the risky things that can reward us big. For some reason, call it gut or instinct I have a feeling that if Perriman is active, he'll break out big time and help us seal a win.

Interesting stat to contextualise the form of these two teams: the ravens have averaged more points per game than the steelers for the last 5 weeks (or so)

Just an update, but I was having migraines, so I missed my own 5PM deadline to post my preview article. It'll be up within an hour or so.

Defense will get a stop, down 4. We get the ball back deep in our territory. Drive down field and Perriman drops an easy, sure td. A couple plays later, Joe shows his confidence in the "blessed" one and he catches the game winner.

Then I wake up at 2:30 in the morning still drunk after Humphrey let's AB go for 18 catches 350 yards and we lose by 24.

Now you don't have to wake up drunk; you can get drunk from your misery.
