Hall of Famer
The Playoff Race continues to heat up and we have some pretty big matchups in the final weeks of the 2017 Regular Season. The AFC West has turned into a 3 way race after the collapse of the Kansas City Chiefs, the NFC continues to be the class of the NFL having big games this week that will determine the final NFC Seeding order.
Saints @ Falcons: The New Orleans Saints essentially have the NFC South on lock down with a sweep of the Panthers complete last week. They can now clinch a playoff spot with a win and a bunch of crazy things needing to happen on Sunday. Atlanta looks to keep their playoff hopes alive after suffering a big defeat to the Vikings last week.
Colts @ Bills: The Colts are heading toward a top 5 pick and have to hope Andrew Luck is healthy for 2018 in order to return to relevance in now a very competitive AFC South. The Bills at 6-6 are right there in the playoff picture but need some help to get into the playoffs as the sixth and final seed in the AFC.
Bears @ Bengals: The Bengals playoff hopes were once again dashed by another meltdown against the Steelers. On a short week the Bengals host Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears for what could be the nail in the coffin for either John Fox or Marvin Lewis.
Packers @ Browns: Packers schedule makes it easy for Rodgers to return and get them to the playoffs, and write a storybook ending by winning the Super Bowl in Minnesota. As for Cleveland, their quest for the perfect season continues against a Packers team getting hot at the right time.
Raiders @ Chiefs: We going straight to the Wild, Wild West as Will Smith once said. Alex Smith does deserve some criticism but looked like the Alex Smith of the once 5-0 Chiefs. The Raiders are now back in the division race and look to take command as the Raiders, Chiefs and Chargers all play each other in the final weeks in games to determine who will emerge as the AFC West Champs.
Cowboys @ Giants: Eli Manning returns to the starting lineup after stupidly being benched by Ben McAdoo. The Cowboys are looking for a wild card spot and I have a feeling a motivated Eli and a newly motivated Giants team under Steve Spagnolo could play spoiler in the Cowboys playoff chances.
Lions @ Buccaneers: Matthew Stafford may or may not play this Sunday but the Lions need him to if they are to stay in the playoff race. The Bucs season is a big what could have been as this team had so much promise heading into the season. The Bucs can essentially put the final nail in the coffin for the Lions playoff chances with a win.
Vikings @ Panthers: The Vikings now sit as the number one seed and could mean home field advantage through the Super Bowl. A Lions loss to the Buccaneers clinches the NFC North for the Vikings, but the easier route of course is to win. The Panthers are clinging on to a playoff spot for now but the Falcons, Packers(once they get Rodgers back) and Cowboys are right there nipping at them in the final weeks.
49ers @ Texans: Jimmy Garoppolo will once again start after leading the 49ers to victory over the Bears, and it looks like Jimmy will drop the 49ers down a few spots in the final draft order. The Browns are the only ones rooting for the Texans to lose out to ensure 2 picks in the top 10 come April.
Jets @ Broncos: John Elway said he wouldn't make any coaching changes in season(head coaching changes per say) which means Vance Joseph could be one and done in Denver come black Monday. The Jets continue to overachieve and look to ensure the Broncos of a top 5 pick.
Titans @ Cardinals: Can the Cardinals play spoiler to another AFC South team this week? The Titans run at the AFC South heads to Arizona where the Jaguars saw defeat only a couple weeks earlier. Arizona is likely headed for a full rebuild in the offseason and are mere spoilers to anyone looking for a playoff spot the rest of the season.
Redskins @ Chargers: The Chargers seem to be the hot team at the moment between the Raiders and Chiefs and look to keep the momentum going against the Redskins. If what we saw against the Dallas defense was any indication, Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa are going to make Kirk Cousins' trip to California miserable.
Eagles @ Rams: More NFC Fun! The Eagles have lost grip on the number one seed, could potentially fall as low as the 4th seed if they lose to the Rams. Also a win helps clinch the NFC East Title while keeping their playoff bye hopes alive. The Rams meanwhile can clinch their first playoff berth since 2004
* LAR win + DET loss or tie + GB loss or tie + DAL loss or tie + CAR loss + ATL loss
Seahawks @ Jaguars: We know the Seahawks offensive line issues, and the Jaguars defense could spotlight it this week. The Jaguars have all the motivation in the world as a win and a bunch of crazy other things need to happen for them to clinch their first playoff berth in 10 years. Calais Campbell broke the franchise record for sacks in a single season last week, but could the mobile Russell Wilson be too much for Sacksonville?
* Jaguars WIN + BUF LOSS + MIA LOSS or TIE + NYJ LOSS or TIE + LAC LOSS or TIE + OAK-KC Doesn't End in a Tie
Patriots @ Dolphins: The Pats don't need Gronk to beat the Dolphins but I think the team would prefer him to stop trying to do wrestling moves that get him suspended. Pats can clinch the AFC East before Monday if the Colts beat the Bills, otherwise they will clinch it Monday Night by beating the Dolphins.
