Hall of Famer
It's week 15, every playoff spot is up for grabs and COVID is about to wreck havoc on the some teams playoff hopes. What Coaches will join Urban Meyer on the unemployment line next? Let's dive into it
Thursday Night Football
Chiefs @ Chargers: First place in the AFC West is on the line as the Chiefs head to LA to take on the Chargers. COVID is going to cause both teams to be down key players. No Rashawn Slater for LA, no L'Jarius Sneed or Willie Gay for the Chiefs and now no Chris Jones. In a division that is anyone's to win, someone gains another step toward the division crown on Thursday Night.
Saturday Football
Patriots @ Colts: The last time these two faced off without Peyton Manning or Tom Brady was way back in 1997 when Jim Harbaugh was the Quarterback for the Colts and Pete Carroll was the Head Coach of the Patriots. Both teams are fresh coming off the bye as the Patriots are winners of seven in a row while the Colts have won four of their last five. New England's defense has allowed the fewest points in the NFL which is going to make it a bit harder on Carson Wentz and the Colts offense as they look to end the Patriots win streak at seven games.
Sunday 1PM Early Games
Panthers @ Bills: Mishandling of the quarterback situation has been Rhule's biggest mistake as Head Coach and now saying he needs to use two quarterbacks because Cam doesn't have a grasp on the 2 minute offense. This isn't College Matt, if you have two quarterbacks then you don't have one. Matt Rhule may be the next college coach out the door and for good reason. Cam Newton's homecoming hasn't gone well, he's 0-3 as a starter and once again Belichick looks like a genius for knowing something before we did. The Bills have turned into the Ravens where much like Lamar is the entire offense, Josh Allen is the entire offense for Buffalo as he can pass and run when he wants to. The Bills need this win more with a huge game with the Patriots next week.
Cardinals @ Lions:
Jets @ Dolphins:
Cowboys @ Giants:
Titans @ Steelers: The Titans have struggled a bit with the run game post Derrick Henry but face a Steelers defense 30th in stopping the run and just gave up 242 yards to Dalvin Cook last week. The unknown pairing of D'Onta Foreman & Dontell Hillard should be poised for a good game, but it seems the Steelers may just be getting some key pieces back on defense to help at a desperate time. Ryan Tannehill's 37 sacks ranks third in the league and TJ Watt if fully healthy is going to take advantage of that. Should be interesting to see if the Titans can get any sort of passing game going as AJ Brown is still out of the lineup and Julio Jones has shown he isn't who he used to be. Can Pittsburgh bounce back and keep their playoff hopes alive one more week?
Texans @ Jaguars: The Jaguars did something right this season, they fired Urban Meyer and now they can look ahead at getting a Coach to get Trevor Lawrence back on track and live up to the hype around him. The Texans meanwhile have committed to Davis Mills as the starting quarterback the rest of the season, better now to find out if he can be the guy then pass on a potential quarterback in the draft. A lowly game as these teams battle for the basement of the AFC South, will interim Head Coach Darrell Bevell provide a spark for the Jaguars to build momentum toward 2022?
Sunday 4PM Late Games
Bengals @ Broncos: Cincinnati has failed to capitalize on the Ravens losing efforts as of late and with the Ravens occupied with Aaron Rodgers and company, this is a crucial game to win before next week's big showdown in Cincy with the Ravens. Denver meanwhile looks to stay in the wild card hunt in a crowded AFC playoff picture. Rookie Patrick Surtain will have to find a way to shut down Ja'Marr Chase for the Broncos to have a shot at winning, and Denver's offensive line will have to overcome a good Bengals defense good at getting to the Quarterback. A loss here will likely end playoff hopes for the Broncos.
Falcons @ 49ers: The Falcons have just six wins so far in Arthur Smith's first season, it's good enough to keep them in the playoff picture for now. The 49ers on the other hand seem to be building momentum toward a playoff push winning the last four of five games. If the 49ers can contain Kyle Pitts and Cordarrelle Patterson, it will be a easy win against a Falcons team who hasn't beaten a team with a winning record all season.
Sunday Night Football
Saints @ Buccaneers:
Monday Night Football
Raiders @ Browns: Thanks to common sense prevailing, the NFL moved three games around this week giving us two Monday Night games and two Tuesday Night games. There are major playoff implications for both of these teams, who will be available for Cleveland even after the delay is the question. Both can still win the division but it's more likely the winner will have the important tiebreaker in the Wild Card race.
Vikings @ Bears:
Tuesday Night Football
Seahawks @ Rams:
Washington @ Eagles:
Thursday Night Football
