idk that that kind of rule suits marlon tbh - I wonder if we’ll see more zone concepts - think both MP and marlon could really thrive with the ability to play with more eyes on the QB especially with Marlon’s burst and MP’s instincts

Not even saying he should play strong safety, just make him the primary nickel and allow him to be the guy that they bring the slot blitz with and have him playing outer third zones from the slot and just really allowing him to use his entire skill set. He’s just such a good football player that his talents are wasted when he’s just guarding guys on the boundary, let him go bust up screens and break up hot reads and harass TEs and RBs and even QBs, he’s got the ability to do it.

I think they wanted him to do a lot more of this prior to Peters getting hurt. Would have been very surprised if Peters and Averett as the outside guys for the most part with Humphrey roaming around making plays wasn’t the plan.

its a lesson that gets forgotten every draft season that these guys are rarer than rare - there isnt another aaron donald, there isnt another tyreek hill, there isnt another deebo samuel, there isnt another lamar jackson, there isnt another myles garrett, there isnt another george kittle

look at guys for what they are and stop trying to find those guys because that's a recipe for failure

i mean tbf they did use marlon as a matchup weapon for a lot of the early part of the year - but they did it by manning him up against the biggest weapon on money downs on the offence

but in all seriousness i think they'll use marlon in multiple ways and i would like to see him get more opportunities in zone generally and in shallower parts of the field (like you say so that he can come up and attack the quick) game

there isn't a rule against it, but certainly will be interesting to follow their careers. That being said, there is no guarantee. I'm also a big fan of Walker and Jordan Davis and believe both of them will be studs and they both play for GA.
