That was good lol. When I saw it live I was so happy Lamar and Ray were in it
we cant restructure it without adding void years because there's only 1 year left
in terms of an extension, it's tough to work out what savings seem realistic because we restructured the deal last offseason to help deal with the cap squeeze and converted around 7m in salary to signing bonus - looks to me like the maximum we could save is about 7.5m but that would add a lot of stress to the later years of his deal - more reasonable i think to expect only a 3-5m in savings depending on the price tag and deal length

Thank you! I just think he's much more valuable than a ~10 mill savings. I mean maybe if we took Sauce or a top DB in the draft, but at that point in April after free agency has cooled down, there's no point in parting ways with Peters unless they see an opportunity for a trade for another position.
there's absolutely no way peters isnt playing for us - harbs and EDC have both indicated in their own ways that he is going to be back
even if we do take a 1st round corner... then great - we'll have the best corner group in football (again) and marlon can be used all over the defence like they clearly wanted to in 2021 with peters on one boundary and whoever we draft on the other boundary

I like the tackle depth particularly at RT with Mekari and James, it's not all that great but then again it depends on Bozeman. If he stays then it makes it hard to make a new addition, I'm of the mindset that he's gone which likely makes Mekari next up to take his spot. If Mekari takes that C role then they absolutely draft an OT round 1 or 2. They can try to get a mid-level guy but from the looks of it, they're making OL a very high priority. FWIW I'd absolutely pay Jensen before I'd pay Bozeman.
A lot of people have been clamoring for Tyrann but If there's any FA I would want, it would definitely be Von Miller, I don't know what his market would look like but I think he can help take this guy game to the next level. Even if it means we need to sacrifice a position, I want us to swing for the fence at Edge and draft one early, I hate to see it but I want us to go all-in on that position. Miller+pass rush DL or OLB would be a massive step forward. I would like that defense under those circumstances, especially with Marlo and Peters returning and hopefully Queen taking a next step.
Again, Bozeman right now is the domino, if he stays then I think they'll wait till the later rounds to grab a tackle and find a mid-level guy, if he leaves and Mekari is relied upon to take that C spot then I think they'll go with a tackle early+mid level player.

Letting Peters go never made sense to me. You couldn't generate a turnover to save your lives and in the early portion of the season when the secondary was healthy outside of Peters you still saw moments where they struggled. Peters is someone who stays easily. If anyone is gone it would make sense if it were Tavon Young, as hard as it is to find a cover slot guy he's just had issues staying healthy and doesn't offer the playmaking that Peters offers.

I think we had a tough year. The unfortunate thing is, from a roster construction perspective I think this year was our year. But countless injuries and poor execution killed any dream of that. Looking forward to next year, we are gonna lose a bunch of quality players. Some at our weakest position groups like OL and some at our deepest groups the secondary. We have a bunch of pics, but not a lot of cap space. The defense top to bottom needs help and the OL is just so blegh en route to getting weaker (obviously we can hope for Ronnie to return but who knows. We thought he'd be back this year. I'll remain cautiously hopeful).
We need to find a way with the money and pics we got to bolster the OL, DL, and Pass Rush. Even if that comes at the cost of some of our secondary.
This is a HUGE draft for EDC. Personally, I think this year is kind of the end of our window where there's a DECENT shot we win the super bowl. With Lamar's cap number set to rise by a ton and having key components like Hollywood etc also gonna be coming up for second contracts, I think it will just be harder and harder to win a SB.

Yeah.... I doubt it. It would seem EDC and the front office would have known about it already. Eric mentioned getting a deal done so this definitely seems to be coming out of nowhere.
Also.... how exactly does one retire to become a gamer? I need a new career choice.

that CJ Golson was the dude that started the Chark to Baltimore rumors that got so loud that it had the Khan son tweeting back at him arguing lol. Yeah, I don’t believe it
Yep was adamant that it was Orlando Brown for DJ Chark and then Khan came and shut it all down. And then when it didn't happen, he came up with some bullshit story that because this "trade" was leaked, other FAs didn't trust signing there so Khan backed out of the deal to preserve the organization's image. All kinda wild lol.
But there's a whole network of these guys too that all work together to spread the bullshit. Literally probably 15-20 guys that all "confirm" each other's tweets and try to spread rumors.

and it's obviously transparently the socials scrubbing that has prompted the weird fake rumour from the fake sources account
love that one of them talked about their sources at yahoo and in baltimore - there are legitimately major national outlets that havent got sources in baltimore that know anything - so no way random twitter fake insider will lol
