2022 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

That was kinda my thought honestly. Been wanting to draft a WR with the Cardinals but the board just didn't fall that way ever. So figured why not add another TE and let him be a mismatch out there in the slot. I've got the blocking TEs already so I could conceivably just let him be a big slot for me.

Makes absolute sense. My exact problem. Honestly, if I didn't consider Philips being a solid fit, I would've went with Woods. At least Murray will finally have a target he can see over the line.

Hypothetically if Daxton Hill was available for the Ravens at like pick 30, would you grab him?

abso-fucking-lutely

he's a legit nickel so no problems getting him on the field in year 1 and he's so versatile and has an all-pro type ceiling at safety

maybe you move on from chuck after 2022 and you've got williams, hill and stephens as your 3 safeties and you're cooking with gas

And then for the Browns, I went with the steady Spiller just because I don't really need anything else there. Figured some depth behind Chubb and the 1 year wonder D'Ernest Johnson couldn't hurt. May not be the home run hitter but he's patient with good vision and gets yards which I'll take in a RB3.
I was thinking of Spiller for the Ravens, but wanted to buff up my defense there. He would've been my pick if he had made it to the comp picks

@Giants56Ravens52 is back up (cc: @RavensMania again)

Also we're about halfway done the draft in roughly a week and a half. Been slower lately but still solid work y'all.
always slower after the first couple rounds, but it's definitely been a pretty quick pace compared to previous drafts.

If I recall in 2019 we barely finished prior to the draft. We even had to do ffa after the actual draft.

ooh - ridgeway was gonna be one of 2 guys i was hoping would make it to 26

still got a day 2 graded guy available though - getting to squeaky bum time to see if he makes it to me or not

off topic. In a week or two the Picks game should be posted. This is the game where we pick 32 players and get points based on what round they are selected.

We also want to have a pound the table thread at some point this month.

Very curious to see who this is as I'm out of day 2 guys, but I also haven't hit everyone's tape yet.

he's not particularly talked about much in draft circles - only happened upon him about a week ago and dove in

im surprised there's not much talk about him though tbh - not like he's some obscure small-school guy either...

although ive got one of those with a borderline day 2 grade who nobody's mentioned either

Also, if anyone wants to trade up into the 4th and give me two 5ths or something similar, I'm here for it.

Just couldn't pass up Allgeier here. I have a 3rd round grade on him, and he reminds me of James Conner. On that note, RB Elijah Mitchell (Yes, that Mitchell) is on the block. Looking exclusively for picks, and with his stellar rookie season, it would need to be multiple. Also, Philip Lindsay can be had for a later pick.

I’m real high on ridgeway, definitely a high end guy for round 4

He’s got the kind of frame and athleticism that gets taken on day 2 - just looks like an nfl player even if he doesn’t always play like one yet - would not surprise me if he ultimately goes day 2 but would be a really nice get in day 3 - might develop into a NT or a 3-4 DE or both

Great pick in Diesch. He was the one I've been waffling on picking since the beginning of this round. Rock solid tape. Just kept coming back to issues with arm length and him being 25 to begin the season. That aside, he'll either be a good swing tackle or a starting one.
