2022 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

I've hardly even been thinking about position since the 3rd round basically. Might have taken a couple of guys that I like a little more than the media and probably NFL teams do, but fuck it, we here to have some fun and see how smart or dumb we look in a few years time.

On the topic of looking back a few years, A couple nights ago I looked at the 2018 forum mock and some of our UDFA picks looked good in retrospect. Obviously some looked better than others but I landed Derrick Nnadi which turned out pretty well

2018 was a great year for me in that regard. So many UDFAs that ended up being drafted and are still playing some good ball now. Definitely my strongest as far as draft value is concerned. No surprise since that was probably the year I've done the most scouting ever (and will probably never reach that level again).

Happy to land Grant Calcaterra. If he doesn’t have concussion issues dude would have been at least a day 2 pick imo. Love his game and has received comps to Mark Andrews

Also, anyone looking to trade down to the late 6th, the 49ers can offer their later 6th and either a 7th, WR Juan Jennings or RB Philip Lindsay to move up a round. And the Seahawks are willing to depart with OLB/DE Malik Reed, perhaps more, for a 6th. PM me.

Thrilled to have Melton here. I had a similar grade on him as I did to Kyle Philips and have waffled on him with every other subsequent selection. Poor quarterback play was a consistent thorn in his side in college. I feel like he could be a better pro than what he was at Rutgers.

I will say, I've found this draft much more enjoyable just drafting BPA/guys I like. Obviously that comes with the weird FA and being able to fill nearly every open spot I had, but I've still had a lot more fun in the draft portion even if I've been sniped multiple times.
it wouldn't be the forum mock if you weren't sniped.

@Simba Arizona is now on the clock.

I wasn't going to touch the QB position with the Lions but in the 6th round, seeing Carson Strong there I just had to take him. My hope would be while building the rest of the team first, that Strong develops into something will have a good team around him when/if he's ready.

Damn. Almost took him at 5.36. Was hoping he’d make it to my next pick
