I like Moore or Miller. I still think Ridley will get taken before us but I'd be fine with trading back and grabbing one of Moore or Miller.

I honestly think Miller is gonna fall. And i really like Miller a lot but i think hes gonna fall to like 3rd or 4th round for some reason

Ravens adding a handful of average receivers puts us in a situation that is no better than last year.

Ryan Grant is something you could possibly get excited for. Nice routes, good hands, a nice possession guy.

But John Brown is pretty much Mike wallace. Only difference is Mike can stay healthy. Just glad it’s a one year deal. We’ll probably be seeing a lot of DNP next to his name.

I guess we’ll see how the draft goes.

If you gave me the possibility of John Brown availability vs Wallace mediocre output given the rest of our issues and potential, give me JB all day

Yeah, Wallace might as well not have played half the season anyway because he was a no show most of the time.

I just can’t be enticed by a potential John Brown outburst. Great season in 2015, I believe. Injury snag in the last couple. I can’t be pursuaded into thinking he’s a significant upgrade, especially when Flacco had a problem over throwing receivers this past year. Then again, maybe it’s Joe Flacco.

say Brees was our QB and we got John Brown, I may be a bit more excited. Either way, I’m not harping on the guy, just can’t get excited about it. The one year deal is good though.

The whole passing game might as well not have played half the season because the QB play was so terrible.

Wallace got 748 yds in essentially half a season and I'd add another 3-400 yds to that total for all the times he was open deep, Flacco under threw him and he had to play DB. All those yards that didn't come the other way are on Wallace.

Moore never did it on his underthrows and if Brown wants to be targeted deep, if he ever gets on the field, he better start practising with the DBs.

I'd much rather have resigned Mike than a guy who looked like he might have potential 3 years ago and just another guy.

I'm actually happy with the Grant signing. Think he is a good pick up that being realistic was in our range!

Brown...Mehhh!

As for WRs to compliment the signings, DJ Moore, Ridley and Anthony Miller for me still!!

I think what is more important is making sure we upgrade TE now, maybe pick 52 is a good range?

I don’t mind having Grant over Maclin though. Not sure if Maclin is apart of the plan or not. I know he’s due a one million dollar incline on the 16th so if he is to be cut, I could see it happening then. That would be 5 million in cap savings.

Over the Permian experiment as well, but I think they’re gonna see how he does in the offseason. Tough to cut ties with a round 1 draft pick.

Free agency isn’t over yet, neither are potential trades. I’d like us to go trade Allen Hurns while we’re sfrspping the bottom of this barrel. The problem is we just promised the fan base a splash and most people don’t even know who Grant is and most people know Brown but realize he’s got injury issues as long as my arm. They did this to themselves honestly and probably it’s because of Flacco. Maybe nobody wanted to come here to play because of him. I’m hoping we do target Baker Mayfield in the Draft because maybe he’ll help us win. Worst case he sits and maybe pushes Joe to someho play better and we can through some miracle trade Joe to some other team. That would be the best possible scenario for us. Then draft DJ Moore and another WR and get a TE

Ryan Grant does not fill me with a sense we have improved our WR squad. If he was buried behind other receivers, he was buried for a reason. Cousins is a pretty good QB and he could not get substantial production out of Grant, so Flacco is gonna make him blossom? Ain't gonna happen, best you can say is we needed WR bodies, wishin, hoping, and prayin one will pan out.

John Brown I have higher regard for, excepting knowledge of his injury. He missed time last year, but has been healthy in other years. I think Flacco can use him and I think he will surprise many here if he stays sound.

Something doesn't compute - the most complete WR on Skins roster (according to his coach), with good hands and decent speed, runs all routes inside and out, yet doesn't have 1000y for his 4 year career.

he was stuck behind pierre garcon, desean jackson, jamison crowder etc. in his first couple of years
and given how much he plays out of the slot he was in direct competition even in 2017 with jamison crowder - im not saying im not worried but there are reasons for why

now im not convinced that he's the complete wr given that im not that sold on him as a full time outside receiver but as a slot receiver he's a very accomplished route runner

Lol prepare to be dissapointed then. Mayfield is probably a top 10 pick. #2 QB on my board for a reason. The top 5 QBs might all be top 10 picks which is an absurdity..... and massively beneficial.

We are stuck with Joe for better or for worse. I think our lack of cap space and shitty coaching is a much larger deterrent than Flacco could possibly be.

After watching a bit of Grant.... that contract is still a fucking albatross... someone in the FO needs to be fired for giving it

He’s an upgrade. More of a sad state of reality for our receiving corps but he’s an upgrade. Massive one at that. He’s surehanded a solid route runner and a decent athlete. He’s nothing special and has peaked. He’s a good #3 WR.

Brown is a significant upgrade if healthy. One I’m excited for. If Brown is healthy he’s a high level #2. Something we are desperate for. He’s far more than a big play threat. If not for his health he’d be making $10+ mil a season easily. This contract could be a big one for us.

I hate the numbers on Grant... but he’s a good player. Nothing special but we honestly needed a guy like that. The WR corps has been upgraded.

That said. If we can still go get Jordy Nelson, or Dez Bryant. Do it. This corps just went from dogshit to meh. Jordy Nelson would be a big get. Then I would STILL draft Two WRs after that. We need a big red zone target.

And fix this line too when you’re at it.

it's no fun being a batimore ravens fan since flacco got paid, that's for sure.

Trust me, he ( as in flacco) doesn't really care about the state of our recieving core. He's just planning on being proffesional....suck us dry for as long as he can and when he is no longer needed and can actually be rid of like a stubborn parasite he'll relax go home high 5 everyone in familly and be like '' boy did i stick it to em''...congrats joe...

if he even showed his discontent with our recieving core that would mean something but no..he has never cared

draft baker mayfield or lamar jackson...the former if hes available.

John Brown is so much better than Mike Wallace they shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence. The problem is can John Brown get on the field consistently

Washington complements these guys really well
We have two deep threats already in Moore and Brown now we don’t need a guy who can take the top off of a unit. Ridley or DJ would work well. Especially Ridley as he excels in work over the middle of the field more than anything really.

We need a big strong possession guy as well. Ridley and Auden Tate would be my preferred haul in the draft. Ridley can attack all levels of the defense and is a #1 option from day one even if he’s more of a high floor meh ceiling type(Moore has more potential in my eyes). Tate provides Flacco with a jump ball specialist too.

Washington isnt just deep threat, he's a savvy and quality route runner with a big strong frame and attacking skills to go up and get the ball in any coverage, he doesn't take the top off of the defense he just happens to make a lot of plays down field because that's how his offense used him. He could be lethal on slants and drags being able to win the leverage battle and go up and snag balls in traffic

Now that I think about it... it honestly depends. If we do get a third FA WR(let’s use Dez and Jordy for the hypotheticals)....

if it’s Dez. Draft Ridley and Washington back to back. He’s more of a compliment but we’d have a ton of speed around him and make his life so much easier in the red zone.

If it’s Jordy take Ridley and Tate. Tate could learn a fair amount from the guy and possibly replace Jordy as a possession guy down the line.

It honestly depends. There’s a strong possibility that our first three picks are skill position guys(WRs and TEs in particular)..... I’m actually good with that. There isn’t a WR prospect thus far that I adamantly hate
