Double header tomorrow, no clue who the starters are going to be but Gausman going 7.1 helps the pen out, especially after Thursday. The Rays and Royals are bad teams but it is nice to get wins going. Machado is being a beast at the plate this year so maybe a team gets desperate for him if/when we start losing and decide to trade him

Hess is starting game 1.

If the O's were smart they would take the advice of Deion Sanders when it comes to Manny Machado...... PAY DA MAN!

Don't know if the current game gets resumed after that rain and hail or not but even if it goes down as a loss(after 5 innings) still solid to see Hess do well

It was good to see Hess go 6 innings and pick up a win. He gave up a three run homer in the first then kept the Rays off the scoreboard . I think Hess has earned another start.

Damn..... 17-1 beat down on the Rays. Good to see the O's building momentum here, now if only they could get Manny signed to a long term deal.

It would be fantastic if we could sign Manny, but realistically I cannot see it happening.

If we can get some sorry team to take Chris Davis and his big salary on that waste of a contract we gave him, it would help. Too bad MLB doesn't have a Franchise Tag or Transition Tag.

But Chris Davis' contract should have nothing to do with Manny. Everyone knew that they needed to sign Manny when they inked that contract with Davis. So either they made the decision right then that they were going to let Manny go because they were too cheap to sign both, or they are really, really stupid.

I don’t think you will have to worry about including Chris Davis in a Manny trade. Davis is in the 3rd year of a 7 year
$ 161M contract, he is 32 years old and With the way he is currently performing I don’t see any club taking him unless the Orioles eat a good portion of the contract. The front office made a poor decision in paying Chris Davis instead of Manny Machado.

Worst thing was they bid against themselves. smh. I'll go with the realy really stupid.

Understatement of the year. Throw money at a high strikeout first baseman over a 5 tool shortstop. Friggin brilliant.

Battle for the worst team in baseball. Oh how low we have gone. Way down low. :(

Yeah, no one in their right mind would take Chris Davis, except maybe Dan Duquette. Oh wait...:p

I would much rather they take their time and get it right this time.

So the Rays are starting all relievers for the series this weekend. Interesting.
