my point would be that... yes they have dominated this game
i get that the scoreboard isnt what we want but that shouldnt be indicative of a poor performance necessarily unless it doesnt translate into points by the end of the game

Nope, never said you need a shut out to not be embarrassing. Giving up TDs in a 1 score game when you've got the opposing offense in multiple long 3rd down situations is embarrassing.

But again they had given up 0 points and after this had given up only 7 points so according to you it was shut out or embarrassing. This is literally your own metric. If the difference in your own metric is 0 points good, 7 points embarrassment then your metric is flawed because 90% of NFL defenses have failed that metric this year.
