Honestly I think the same thing would have happened even with Wink Martindale as the the defensive coordinator. Wink probably would have been more aggressive but this defense just needs more help at the pass rusher department. Justin Houston returning should help and that way it could help with keeping guys like JPP and even Oweh fresh. Maybe even allows Mike Macdonald to be more creative with how he uses them

Lamar’s play declined quite a bit before he got injured last year .He started off well though just like this year.
October so far he has been dreadful . Worse at times than Flacco .
The end of the Giants game brought back memories of Flacco’s games against the Bengals , which he could never beat .

I have serious doubts about MacDonald as a pro defensive coordinator. I’m not sure he’s up to the task . I thought he called a good game against Burrow and Chase but generally he has been awful .
I'm pretty sure Moses is ok, they taped him up and he seemed fine. With Dobbins, I'm sure it was a precaution to keep him out of the game, especially with that damn turf.
Not sure the Giants and / or Jets owners wouldn't want the players to be safe from injury, but that field is absolutely awful. Reminds me of the old Bengals field that was hard as a rock back in the 80s and 90s

Ben Powers a 4th round pick is now the 2nd best pass blocking guard in the NFL.
Also, EDC had a huge hand in the 2018 draft class.

2020 Queen is becoming a bust, but Dobbins, Madubuike and Duvernay have become good to very good players.
2021 and 2022 is too soon to tell but I believe 2022 is going to be an extremely good class.
