The DL, The Lamar and Another Blown Lead

I won't excuse Lamar of poor throws or poor decisions, but the Ravens very clearly lack a receiver who can make that big play or take over a game.

i think there's almost 2 different topics in this one sentence

lamar's game was poor - lacking WRs does not absolve him of the poor decisions and throws he made in this game
but the WR problem spans more than 1 game and creates issues outside of just this 1 game - it's notable that Lamar's 2 worst games this season have been without Bateman

Piss poor performance by Lamar

Absolute lack of concentration and ill times penalties

Blow this whole thing up. Save the money trade Lamar and move on from Harbaugh. Fuck this team.

Big shout out to Robinson too.
Well we either do this or go all in again with Lamar .
From what I’ve seen I would trade Lamar for 1st rounders. He is simply too inconsistent.

From September NFL offensive player of the month to a complete dud in October.

that's what gets me too

i got lulled into the WR group hype but... they've got no excuses and by their usage it's clear that proche and wallace were never gonna factor which means it's not that these guys flopped when they were expecting big things

these guys are clearly what they expected and they did nothing about it

i get that we got sniped in the draft - but it's been nearly 6 months since the draft and we've only added demarcus robinson
GARBAGE

With the OLBs, I could understand the approach a little of wait it out for guys to come back from injury. I think that was overly optimistic and the wrong approach, but I can semi see the reasoning.

With the receivers, though? What's the plan if Bateman isn't THAT guy? What's the plan if any of them go down? Where's the contingency? There are no reinforcements coming.

And it seems like the Ravens knew they needed a receiver considering they apparently tried to get one in the first round. But to make zero aggressive moves to get someone other than Robinson? That's a failure.
TOTAL FAILURE

Yeah, basically, I'm looking at the receiver issue, not Lamar. I don't want to focus on Lamar this game because everyone else is and there's not tons to add. I'm focusing on something that I think will continue to be a large issue and hadn't been brought up yet.

I'm bring up some points that have been brought up by others and myself just to put things into context:

We are so heavily damn invested in the D (secondary) and we continue to be the worst passing D. Explain how this continues to be the issue. We have a new coordinator and see this team still can't stop 3rd and long and continue to struggle with the same issues as last year. What the freak do we change? Or is our talent way the freak overrated?

Lamar has been terrible the past few weeks. I don't get he spent all of season with this highly touted QB coach to improve his mechanics.... but it doesn't show. He results to his poor mechanics and honestly just been passing poorly. Part of the blame needs to be on the wrs we have out there does he not trust them? Duv ain't do crap today, proche bye, Wallace bye, again FO screwed up here big time.

They need to stop overvaluing draft picks. We been missing more then hitting. We can't afford our 1st rounders to be just alright. We need studs every once in a while. Is queen a stud? Nah.. Oweh.. nah not yet maybe never... madbuike...nah..

Is GRO to blame for our offensive struggles? Is Lamar outperforming the shitty play calling or is the play calling still holding him up some way? I'll let you Offensive gurus add to this as I'm not as informed in this area as some of you.

Harbaugh idk man he's been a great coach. But we know does not make changes when he needs to or should. His message if not already will definitely grow old if we continue to drop games.

I'm heavily invested emotionally to this team like most of you. We take 3 hours out of our day to watch this team but I just can't and won't if this team continues like this. I won't totally give up on them has been toooo many years but I just won't be as invested.

Anyways my rant is over... Go Ravens lol.

All of you have very good points. If we’re not willing or able to surround Lamar with talent on offense… then is it really a smart move to commit a giant part of our cap to him? It just seems like our priority is building the run game and defense up (even though we’re pretty terrible anymore at building defense)

Trade Lamar Jackson after this season . He is simply too inconsistent.
Is he a very good player ? Yes .

But for the money he is asking it is not worth keeping him and tanking the money the Ravens have to play with .

I have never felt this way about Lamar before but I see too many inconsistencies.
