The Offensive Line Thread

Spotrac is reporting that we are over the cap by $2.1M on the rule of 51 and $19.9M over altogether. Is this accurate and if so, how do we figure we'll get under the cap and make any signings this year if needed.

Edit: Spotrac not OTC.
Bye bye James Hurst? Someone is going to leave. Not worried. If Ozzie didn't have a plan we wouldn't have signed him.

Wallace might restructure. We are paying him more than Maclin and Maclin is the better player. If we can get Wallace to an extension for another year or two that would help us out big time long term. Maybe give us room for another move. Yanda would be great too.
I was just looking at spotrac and I am thinking Wallace may be the one to restructure as well. I was about to come and post it here but you beat me to it.

Ive viewed Hurst and Camp as reasonable cap relief since their restructures, but Hurst is probably too valuable this point as the only swing tackle with starting experience. Camp also might be a risky cut since Reynolds and White have been so hot and cold.

it would cost us over 2.4m dead cap or 1.2m post June. He counts against the salary cap 735k this year so it would cost him more to cut him then to keep him.

Then we need to find even more money under the cap then because I don't see any way zadarius makes it onto the 53 on merit at the moment

Did anyone see Marlon Humphrey Snapchat story marshal yanda for sure broke his thumb I doubt it will effect him or his play but it's disgustingly broke

yeah he only just got on the practice field in team drills lol - imagine how shitty our team's luck is if yanda has his first team practice and breaks his thumb...

I feel good about Jensen. I really do. If he has the mental aspect down then I think we're gonna be ok.

Crazy how one signing makes our outlook so much better

Have we seen Austin Howard practice yet and if so, how did he look? If not, when can we expect him to be out there?
