Oh, without a doubt and that is quite possible that we can’t afford them both.id prefer jensen as im not sure we can keep both

@Filmstudy I do still believe Joe has had a ton of time to throw in the pocket the last few games (probably not @Vik), it seems to me his failure to step up when the outside rushers crash from a 6 or outside tech is the biggest problem on plays not to the flats.
If we can keep him at LG and move Lewis to RT, it would be ideal. You had me on the first part. He's made 28 of his last 34 pulls, but the issue is he's been a consistently awful tackle.
When he heads to free agency, his agent should be emphasizing that fact and claim James was out of position at tackle. As just a guard he can probably get a nice 2-3 year deal, but his 2018 team, whether the Ravens or another, shouldn't depend on him to play any tackle.
If we kept him I’d want him as a backup. Not a starter. If we can keep him at LG and move Lewis to RT, it would be ideal.

Who'd you start? High 1st round draft pick isn't something I'd spend on OG.If we kept him I’d want him as a backup. Not a starter.
not even quenton nelson?Who'd you start? High 1st round draft pick isn't something I'd spend on OG.
Not even Nelson.not even quenton nelson?
but what about a 2nd round guard like maybe billy price, or lewis coming back, or siragusa or a free agent signing
Not even Nelson.
I'd much rather sign good FA, if available and we have enough cap room, or let Lewis/Siragusa/Hurst compete for a job. If anything, this season showed we can put together serviceable O line despite all the injuries.
I really, really, really want two playmakers at offensive skill positions with our first two picks.
I’d love Quenton Nelson as our pick. My god the guys a beast and I’m not always a fan of taking a player that isn’t a LT early in the first. That being said, I’ve come around on that idea wiry players like Martin and Hutchinson to go back even further.not even quenton nelson?

Same, right now I’m 1a Fitzpatrick, 1b Nelson, 2 Ridley, 3 McGlincheyidk that id mind - id love to get skill guys but id also love nelson

Now I haven’t done my research on Billy Price in the 2nd, but whose to say he’s even going to be there at that point, especially in a draft that isn’t supposed to be that deep in talent. I say grab the guy if he is there and yes, I know I’m preaching to the choir. Lol
yeah im only just starting to look a bit deeper at talent given that i have no idea where we're going to be picking - i mean we dont look like a good football team but we also have the softest schedule i can remember as a ravens fan...Same, right now I’m 1a Fitzpatrick, 1b Nelson, 2 Ridley, 3 McGlinchey
This could all change in the offseason
Not even Nelson.

Haven't really seen enough prospects to be able to tell but I'm basing all this on my belief we'll pick just slightly lower than where we got Stanley.Maybe if Ridley is available but if we have a mid rd pick who else would you take at skill.

the second part was more that he wouldnt be an awful backup - the reports through the offseason were that he looked good at right tackle (despite what actual performances had shown us before then)
do you have any reference about whether that many pulls (28/34) is remarkable around the league or is it just rare for the ravens?
Ben Grubbs had an extraordinary string of consecutive successful pulls at one point that I was tracking, but I'd have to go back to my articles to research it. Just from memory, it might have been 29 of 30 or similar.
I don't think any player in the time I have been scoring has pulled as much as Hurst. He now has 61 attempts in 9 games (6.8/game).
the reason he's pulling so much is because he's been powerful in the run game when he pulls - he will never be a bully on the line but he's certainly a starter quality player
