Lamar Jackson

After watching a half of Nick Foles , maybe we should just pay Lamar…

I don't think people really grasp what the qb market will look like if for us if we just let Lamar go. I also don't think enough fans understand the miracle work he's does with this team. Again, I wouldn't blame him for feeling slighted because he kept people in place when it looked like they were going to be scouring the classifieds.

That makes no sense. 2017 is 5 years ago, so doesn't that mean all 7 teams have a QB drafted in the first round in the last 5 years?
It seems this was figured out so I'll leave it alone.

Would’ve been better understood if they phrased it as last 5 drafts

While I agree on the first part, most people, including everybody here, can't understand what the QB market will look like, because its not been developed yet. Lamar's long term replacement would come from the draft. That prospect could be an unknown freshman or sophomore in college right now. Wouldn't surprise anybody.

And if we were somehow able to trade him before the next draft, there's plenty of draft prospects in this draft who could have very solid or even great NFL careers. Its not like when we drafted Lamar he was universally herald as a can't miss prospect like a Lawrence or Burrow. This guy was as polarized as it gets in terms of QB evaluations.

You two will have to explain this in a more understandable way to me.

1. 2017
2. 2018
3. 2019
4. 2020
5. 2021
6. 2022

Whether you count the drafts or the years is irrelevant. It is six either way.

Lmaooo… in 2017 how old were you? In 2022, how old were you? How many year’s different is that?

22-17=5

And then you all call me the dumbass… shew

Well actually the dumbass move would be thinking it has anything to do with years to begin with, since nothing about the first claim mentioned number of years. It mentioned "since 2017", which is, of course, accurate. The second part I literally have no idea what you were confused by on that one.

And obviously the reason "years" doesn't work in your backwards logic is because for the first year of your life you were 0 years old, despite actually being alive. Much in the same way we're in the 21st century and not the 20th century.

Also in 2017 I was 31 (and I was also 30), yet in 2023 I'll be 36 (and also 37). So...

See, in your equation you are excluding 2017 from the count.
However 2017 was still a year. And the draft was held back then.

Also, nobody called you a dumbass, just deliberately obtuse.

And, I'm not telling you my age. I can be your dad but that position is taken.

I think this is what he is doing

2017 to 2018 is 1 yr
2018 to 2019 is 2 yrs
2019 to 2020 is 3 yrs
2020 to 2021 is 4 yrs
2021 to 2022 is 5 yrs

of course this doesn't take into account the 2023 playoff year, which is 6 yrs. Again, he's not taking that into account.

What is 22-17, oh smart holier than thou person. Or did you use common core around these parts growing up?
