Lamar Jackson

Don't think there's much chance of that.
Lamar needs to be reasonable. The Watson deal is not the new norm, but if he thinks it is, then ownership is in a tough spot.

He'd take a Baltimore offer of 7 yrs - 350M with 200 guaranteed IMO. That is something the Ravens would gladly agree to given that they get a couple of years after the TV deal.

No he doesn't. Watson missed a year with pending charges. What has Kyler shown? We just got rid of one of his best friends and best targets. Kept a OC who seems to be holding him back and now are possibly playing hardball with contracts. In a worst case scenario like an injury he's still getting paid even if it's not the Ravens. A team will pony up the cash if he ever hit FA.

Watson is not the norm. It’s the ultimate Browns being the Browns. Topping Kylers deal(which the Ravens already have) is realistic but Lamar said no. If Lamar wants 240 guaranteed over 5 years than I happily looking forward to trading him for a bag and watching some other team sink their franchise. After one franchise tag and one last run at a super bowl of course

But why would accept 30 million less guaranteed than Watson or a 7 year deal?

sounds reasonable to me
I hope Lamar agrees. Honestly i just hope they knock it outside before the season starts. Definitely don’t want to deal with contract stuff come off season

Do we have confirmation that we gave Lamar an offer?

There is no way in hell Lamar signs a 7 year deal. At most I see him going 5.
It'll be interesting to see the changes in Lamar's game between now and 6-7 years from now. He'll be 31-32 years old by then. There's no real precedent. You could look at Vick's numbers, but I don't think that's a perfect model for prediction.

4-5 year deal

So on a $240m contract what is the maximum you would guarantee? If it's like $200m then I hardly think that would sink your franchise much differently than if it were fully guaranteed. If it goes wrong it's 5 years of pain vs 4 I guess.
