Lamar Jackson

Don’t you think the Ravens organization runs the risk of pissing off Lamar enough he asks for a trade ?
I'd be surprised if this is the end result as of now. Based on the reports, Lamar understands why the Ravens offer was what it was, and the Ravens understand why Lamar said no. If the market goes Lamar's direction, the Ravens will pony up. They know they have to. They just know they don't have to right now.

lets remember, 133m at signing doesn't mean that is the only guaranteed money in the deal. I'd bet atleast his first 2 years are guaranteed along with roster bonus in the 2nd year. I'd like to know the total amount of guarantees in this contract, not just at signing.

You’re talking about the difference between fully guaranteed and total guarantees and the fully guaranteed is where the big disconnect is

I think this was Lamar’s side. Seems like a fair contract offer but no where near what Lamar wanted. Think he’s letting the world know the Ravens aren’t close

My guess is this was leaked on Friday and everyone’s sat on it until gameday for discussion purposes when the most eyes are on

Josina Anderson’s tweets this morning emphasised that all the talks were engaged in in good faith - I’ve no worries about any sort of animosity

correct, but there are other guarantees in the contract and many people are reading this as it being the only guarantees in the contract.

Sure - I do think it’s worth understanding though that it was always going to take significant full guarantees that approach 200m at a minimum

You’re not going to sway Lamar with 133m fully guaranteed if he’s looking at Watson’s deal

My guess is the ravens made that offer, understanding that they can always up it next year

I'd agree with this statement

I call cap. This is all speculation. Lamar's been silent about it and our FO barely leaks anything.
Only NFLPA could've leaked it. But it was reported they weren't deeply involved.

Feels like a clear as day Ravens leak. They wanted people to know that they made him on offer that was reasonable and he said no.
