If this group can't even understand fundamental clock management skills and how scoring points is kind of important to win a football game, I sure as shit know fractions is like asking this group to develop a vaccine for Cancer.
After 5 minutes its just another puff off the joint and a lot of "hey man I just don't know man"...
I can't remember the board being more whack even in the off season.
Wait, did you voluntarily change your own status to Suspended, or did somebody else do it for you?I just want to apologize for playing a big part in ruining the board. I understand that I let my emotions run wild at times and I get out of line. I swear and promise that I have no ill intentions with the big majority of my posts. I don’t mean to troll. I don’t mean to say stupid shit. I only mean to add my own two thoughts. But I do understand how my posts can be taken as an idiotic approach as they are often contrary to the status quo and I don’t elaborate very well on my thoughts.
As I write this, I am promising that I will go back to lurking for the rest of the season, including playoffs. I only want the best for this forum and I’m not helping it right now. I will reassess my posting and come back next off-season ready to roll with y’all.
Again, I am sorry for everything. Go Ravens
There’s no question the ravens would make out better in a trade scenario, but if they use the exclusive tag he’s gone for sure IMO. I just don’t see the ravens absorbing the cap hit for potentially 2 years to get to a long term deal, and Lamar won’t be happy without a deal. With the non-exclusive they would still get 2 first round draft picks and would lose a huge contract that could potentially strap them for years. It’s just where my head is right now about this.In this scenario, its pretty much a lose/lose for the Ravens though.
If he tests the market, then you let the market decide what the Ravens are going to pay him. That means that Lamar is basically negotiating a deal with another team, but the other team is handing the ball to the Ravens and telling them to pay exactly what they offered.
If the Ravens decline to pay him, they'll be settling for less than market value in a trade, because that would value Lamar at significantly less than what the Browns gave up for Watson.
So how does it benefit the Ravens to do this?
I have a liberal arts degree so I have no idea who’s correctI come for the Ravens chat but I stay for the Math.
They can afford the exclusive tag in 2023. If it gets to 2024, and they don't have an extension by the time that tag is applied, they'll likely trade him then. So they'll get a better trade value than the non-exclusive tag would provide. There’s no question the ravens would make out better in a trade scenario, but if they use the exclusive tag he’s gone for sure IMO. So you had a career choice of the military or McDonald's, you made the right choice son!I have a liberal arts degree so I have no idea who’s correct
And by 'fraction' you mean one half, right?I'm no math wizard but can 2 people ruin something singlehandedly? Like is it a fraction of each of their hands?
The food is better at McDonald’s thoughSo you had a career choice of the military or McDonald's, you made the right choice son!
And still is sadlyWhile I agree on the first part, most people, including everybody here, can't understand what the QB market will look like, because its not been developed yet. Lamar's long term replacement would come from the draft. That prospect could be an unknown freshman or sophomore in college right now. Wouldn't surprise anybody.
And if we were somehow able to trade him before the next draft, there's plenty of draft prospects in this draft who could have very solid or even great NFL careers. Its not like when we drafted Lamar he was universally herald as a can't miss prospect like a Lawrence or Burrow. This guy was as polarized as it gets in terms of QB evaluations.
Apparently, there wasn't practice at all today.Figured I’d check this thread for an injury update, I saw 4 new pages since I posted earlier today so figured I did in fact miss something. I guess I did miss something, the latest installment in RMC vs Sizzle, always entertaining
Yea, tomorrow is the big day. Rapport said he’s going to test the waters in practice, like I said, I fear deja vu to last season where he looked rough on that rough field no less. I guess unlike last year, from what I remember at least, he has been on the sideline so I hope that bodes well for his return. I still think this team can win the super bowl, there is no juggernaut, I’ve watched every bengals game this year, if they’re the best team in the afc then we can definitely win the afcApparently, there wasn't practice at all today.
As long as BOTH are taken care of, I don't care about the order.Half this board is going to lose its mind when we extend Roquan before Lamar.
