Lamar Jackson

Humphrey is the best corner the Ravens have ever had. Mcallister was good, but I think after this season, Humphrey has passed him.
Gonna disagree. For me Humphrey and Jimmy Smith are about even and right behind McAllister.

That said I would put Humphrey over Andrews for legendary Ravens.

No other team/coach has an issue telling what the injury is, QBs included, and how long will player be out. Most often then not, those initial reports are pretty accurate.
Yeah this isn't even remotely true. Pretty clear you don't follow injury reports or status of other players on other teams, because they all literally have the same problem.

Can also tell you for certain that Belichick isn't going to the media and giving weekly updates on player injuries and sure as shit not giving them expected timelines for players.

Would also point out that, most often than not, the injury timelines the Ravens have given for most players are pretty accurate also. Already listed a couple from this very season alone.

These complaints and false narratives are just another line in a long line of reasons why coaches and teams shouldn't update fans on injuries at all. There's no good scenario for the team that plays out that way.

I also think that John isn't getting annoyed with Lamar regarding the injury, he's annoyed at getting asked the same question where he is in a no win situation. He's essentially been offered a punch in the balls or a kick in the dick every presser.

Can only imagine how some of you must speak about your local weatherman.

Theyre asking questions that even lamar dnt know.. just like a common cold, the shit is day to day and it affects everyone differently. Might feel like you can go, but you wake up the next day feeling like shit

When you think about it, that is life though. Most people don’t have the luxury of not working, they have to put food on the table and get the rent paid. If you are a roofer and your knee is swollen, you still have to hump them shingles up that ladder or you don’t get a check on Friday. Life is tough, and none of us have personal trainers to give us a massage, cortisone shots, and ice us down. The shitty part is, we have to do it until age 65. So we put on the brace on, grab a bowl of cereal, fight rush hour traffic, and struggle through a hard day of work. On Saturday, we cut our grass, change the oils in our trucks, and fix our leaky toilets. On our one day off, we watch football and drink beer. Yes, for some fans, it is hard to relate and sometimes we make a post, based on our life experience that may, in another’s opinion, may be harsh or unfair.

I hate John Elway because he fucked over my team, and he is always going to be a horse tooth jackass in every post I make about him. If you are a young person, or from Denver, and think I am being unfair, ignore what I say and move on. We are never all going to be on the same page.

That's your fault for not deciding to be a NFL QB. All jokes aside having players not ready to play play both risk a high cost investment and influence your seasons outcome.

Some guy falls off a roof they will find a guy tomorrow to do it. Having said all of that, I love football, love my family and my life. Don't let this stuff get you down my man!

Also I love beer too

1. Lamar's getting paid the same amount to not play as he is to play. NFL players get paid when they're injured. Decades of collective bargaining and a somewhat strong Union has made that the case.
2. Not everybody has the lifestyle you describe. Others invested in their minds instead of their bodies, and work smarter, not harder. There's certainly people that do what you describe, but those people have also chosen that lifestyle and aren't willing to make the effort to do anything differently other than what it is.

I was at the Colts/Broncos game the year Elway shit on us. Can still hear the "Elway sucks, Elway sucks" chant. lol

And just to clarify, if you're a roofer and your knee is swollen to the point where it's debilitating, and that happens from on-the-job work, you'll still get a check without working. Its called Workers Comp. And I can assure you its extremely popular among "blue collar" labor.

65? Sheeeeeit, in 2022 that’s a made up arbitrary number. Now, you either invest early and often and retire when you decide, or you work til you die… UNLESS OF COURSE you’re in a union, players unions bargain for their rights, just like police unions do, and any workers that aren’t unionized to bargain for these rights, well, you have the option. If workers don’t wanna haul shingles up a ladder while injured then they have the right to tell their boss to do it their damn self.

You do realize that both your posts had nothing to do with the point I was making.

Then you didn't do a good job of making your point. If your point was that average Joe's can't sympathize with a player who can rest an injury and still get paid to do it, then sure. But those same average Joe's are the one's spending discretionary income to be entertained by people they can't sympathize with. So that says something about the average Joe also...

Its an exercise in skills and what society values. Not an exercise in "sympathy".
