Lamar Jackson

The singular narrative I want to roll with is that if John gives the media an inch by saying week to week then it opens up the chaos of what has happened here. With uninformed people spewing nonsense. And then lots of not very meaningful discussion.
Then maybe those people should just stop spewing nonsense. I blame those people, not John. It's not his responsibility to make other people smarter.

If there is not a pathway to an AFC North division Championship and the 3 seed. Personally, it does not matter to me if Lamar plays in week 18. However if Huntley’s shoulder is not right, I would like us to play someone who can get the ball down the field.
I don't care if Huntley's shoulder is right or not. Just give us AB please!!!

I agree. I'd prefer he didn't speak on injuries. I just think the public doesn't have the balls to accept not having injury updates. And if they don't get them, they'll seek out people less qualified to give them, and still be pissed when they're not met.
See the "1-3 week timeline" as an example. Didn't come from the Ravens, yet people ran with it. They'll have to explain why they did.

I don't care if its prospective or retrospective. If you've got a critical player that has an injury in the timeline of his injury, it really benefits the team in no way to put them on IR. If they can come back sooner, you fucked up massively by putting him on IR. If he's on normal timeline, you're not risking a quality player being cut by not doing it. And most importantly, he can practice whenever he's able to, and not bound to a rule that doesn't allow him to.
Again not Harbaugh's fault.

It's kinda funny how everyone jumped to conclusions earlier this week and now we have multiple people saying he's just not healthy enough yet, including a few of our own who have actually seen him limping.

I didnt see the vid of him limping. I also have never ever paid attention to what harbaugh have said about any injury we have ever had. If our guy isnt back yet, he simply just isnt ready imo. Idk what people expect. Even if lamar dnt wanna play in offs because he isnt 100% healthy, id respect decision….. despite all the “ he quit on his team” backlash that he will likely receive from people who dnt understand

There's no video, but Jeff Z among others said that he was walking with a limp out of the locker room the last 2 games.

Fine with the decision.

Would you have the same respect for the organization for not meeting his (alleged) demands for a fully gtd contract because he spent at least the last month of the last two seasons not playing in critical games?

Sounds like something you'd have to respect logically...

I want lamar to get the most money out of a organization as he possibly can, idgaf if it bankrupts an owner lol.. however.. i dnt think he deserves a fully, def not in that 200 range. Now if he wants around kyler type money, thats understandable. Us as fans wanna win a SB, owners wanna sell tickets and make profits.. If we dnt pay him, thats fine, its a business so it is what it is.

I hope that if he leaves he goes to the Commanders and bankrupts Danny Snyder

Somebody explain to me what you would call a 4-6 week injury without saying its a 4-6 week injury.

Is that week-to-week or is that month-to-month?

Feels like people are getting caught up in semantics or trying to force a narrative they want.
nope you are correct, it's week to week.

Harbaugh was pretty candid in talking about Lamar today...

That's a terrible prognosis from Harbs. I appreciate his candidness though. But if he's telling the truth that at this point they still really don't know, there's far from a guarantee he plays next week in the playoffs.

I think it's the reality though. Does him no good to come out and say that he'll be back next week. Because then when he isn't, it's his head on the pike. I get the frustration but he's not in an easy position because he's really just the middle man.

Yep totally agree. Which is why he shouldn't have prognosticated originally. But finally here he's come clean that he was wrong and they're still unsure so don't bother me about it.

I doubt Lamar will ever play again for the Ravens. I also am beginning that he'll play another full season or another playoff game.

I mean, this is also clearly a PR in his ear type of thing. They know they need to answer without answering, because it's starting to gain media traction. I'd bet internally they have an idea when/if he's coming back, but it does them no good to share that at this point because it's hard to predict any of that with accuracy.
