I mean... not really. We have the same amount as today.
It's top 10 in the league, but there isn't a lot more to be created without restructures, while other teams can cut to create more.
And there will be a half dozen teams with double the cap we do.

We could theoretically sign anybody we wanted, but its also not like we're the big dog in FA at that point. A lot of teams have a lot of $.

Sure we could. We could sign literally any non-QB to a proper deal.

The question just becomes who the QB is. If we trade before draft, I'd imagine we're interested in moving up for the top 2-3 guys (likely Levis or Stroud). If it's post-draft, I'd rather just see us ride it out with Huntley for a year, hoard the picks, and make a run at a rookie QB next year.

I'm not really going to be a fan of this like Baker, Jimmy G, etc. type move on this roster.

Honestly the anticipation of a possible trade is enough. Haven't really considered the ramifications of what happens 5 minutes after the deal is done.

...So I asked it a while ago, but never got a response. Can we exclusive tag him and still trade him? If we can, that's what we should do. We can expect a minimun of 2, 1st rounders then, because that is the expectation for an non-exclusive tag. If it's two first rounders and a boatload of other round picks over the next 2-3 years that works. The suspense is killing us.

EDC must be taking ice baths daily. Lamar is playing Mario Cart.
