You realize Lamar is gonna have some say in who he signs with if it happens? If Colts offer him a contract and so does the Niners, he may take less money to go with the Niners.

The Niners would be Super Bowl favorites for multiple years.

He can't take less because the Colts have more money to offer and we can most likely match whatever the Niners offer

At this point I think this is best. There's likely a bad taste in Lamar and the Ravens mouth at this point that could erupt later on. Best just to move on if so.

I agree, but Jesus Christ that’s my most hated team. I’m from Northern California and would die if it happened. But again - nothing concrete as of yet. Just analysts fantasizing about it

He's made at least 65 mil so far. His family is taken care of forever. In all likelihood, he'll make 100 by the end of 2024 and it will be all on his terms. Not the agent's or the 32 fat greedy MFs who are obviously playing a dirty game.

Since high school he's been told to switch positions if he wants to make it. He didn't and one college offer came through. Same with going to pros. For his entire rookie contract he's been asked to do more than any other player in the NFL and he did. Wasn't complaining when D repeatedly blew 2, 3 score leads he made. Wasn't complaining when he gets to throw to Dez Bryant, DJax and washed up Watkins or has to run through the middle when it gets dicey but that's the only way to move the sticks.

Still no real effort to bring in competent receivers but hey, here's 100 mil to middle LB.

He sets the price if they want him to play longer and I wouldn't be surprised if the price is lower for other teams.

Well it’s tough to say because very little has been confirmed, but when he responded to the tweet about the offer and he said “I only got offered 133m guaranteed, but I need to get an agent” well either he’s lying or the report about a guaranteed roster bonus was a lie.

If that roster bonus was never offered, then yeah Lamar’s right. But if they DID offer 133m guaranteed at signing with a 2024 roster bonus making it 175m or 200m guaranteed whatever tf the number was, if THAT offer actually was on the table, then no it’s completely obvious that Lamar’s in WAY over his head and does need an agent, because that would mean he understands contract language about as much as I do.

Yeah that offer was not confirmed, but it’s been in circulation just as much as the 133m offer. IF that offer really happened and Lamar handled it this way, then he’s a fucking idiot and needs an agent, IF 133m was really all the ravens guaranteed, then it’s an entirely different story.

Also, yeah, he can demand all he wants, he’s gonna get what he’s gonna get, and it doesn’t seem that he’s gonna get what he demands, or even close to it.

I’m in Cali as you know and that would be dreadful. I told my boys I would take them to the SF- Ravens game to watch Lamar play…. But not as a 49er….. lol

Fine if he is. But the tag is being content with the bare minimum. If he's content with the bare minimum, so be it.

If the guy is content with 7 years below what he wants, so be it. Year 8 might be the most disappointing year of his life though, but good luck to him.

I don't think the phrase "Lamar" and "taking less money" are really things at this point.
