Lamar Jackson

Well it’s tough to say because very little has been confirmed, but when he responded to the tweet about the offer and he said “I only got offered 133m guaranteed, but I need to get an agent” well either he’s lying or the report about a guaranteed roster bonus was a lie.

If that roster bonus was never offered, then yeah Lamar’s right. But if they DID offer 133m guaranteed at signing with a 2024 roster bonus making it 175m or 200m guaranteed whatever tf the number was, if THAT offer actually was on the table, then no it’s completely obvious that Lamar’s in WAY over his head and does need an agent, because that would mean he understands contract language about as much as I do.

Yeah that offer was not confirmed, but it’s been in circulation just as much as the 133m offer. IF that offer really happened and Lamar handled it this way, then he’s a fucking idiot and needs an agent, IF 133m was really all the ravens guaranteed, then it’s an entirely different story.

Also, yeah, he can demand all he wants, he’s gonna get what he’s gonna get, and it doesn’t seem that he’s gonna get what he demands, or even close to it.
I see that tweet as a confirmation that he got a second largest full guarantees without the agent's "help", made out of frustration to relentless disrespect in terms of "not having a contract signed because he has no agent". He just thinks he's worth more and wants a better offer.

And I completely agree with him.

Nah theres interest . Don't get upset if Lamar becomes a Niner.

Also reports from ESPN that we are actively pursuing free agent QB's

So what does that tell you?

Put a fork in him he done.
I'd be disappointed if we aren't shopping in the FA QB market. Both of the QBs on our roster are essentially RFAs. And we get literally no compensation for one of them if we don't match an offer sheet.

Its unlikely, but possible that a week from now we don't have a QB on the roster. So of course we should be involved in the FA market.

Noting of course that a lot of the FA "stop gap" QBs have already signed. Brissett, Mayfield, Dalton, etc.

And an agent would have gotten him the 2nd largest full guarantees a year or two ago. Which means he'd be richer, both short term and long term, than he is right now.

Pretty tough sell that he's "content" on a franchise tag that's probably $20M below market value, but simultaneously is in a stalemate over the 2nd most guaranteed $ ever not being enough. I don't think the world's best accountant could reconcile that thought process.

I agree, but Jesus Christ that’s my most hated team. I’m from Northern California and would die if it happened. But again - nothing concrete as of yet. Just analysts fantasizing about it
I got nothing against the Niners, but my dad's been a Niners fan since the Montana days. I wouldn't hear the end of it from him just like when we traded Boldin to them.

*shivers*

ESPN is reporting a possible trade to the 49ers. The 49ers would be hard to stop with Lamar,McCaffrey and Deebo.
With what 1st Round Pick? They gave their pick this year away and it has to be the team's original first round pick. So teams without a first this year are out unless they wait til after the Draft and use 2024 and 2025 1sts on Lamar.

lol, I'm around. Do you miss me?
You’ve been too busy fucking crashing the banking system and then bailing them out all in a couple days. You’ve been busy

You think he'd make it to 4?
I’m actually hoping Bryce makes it to 4 lol. I’m not sure as I’m not privy with this years QBs in the draft (never thought I’d have to research them until now)
