Lamar Jackson

And none of it is confirmed yet.

Sounds like the same dude(non sanctioned agent) that was linked with Roquan helped Tunsil.

The shitty thing about all this is Lamar waits till after the draft to sign either the tag or the extension, he probably just destroyed our ability to do anything in FA. Making this contract so difficult and all about him has affected the entire team so ridiculously intensely. Idk the Ravens have ever been in this spot at all.

Welcome to the reality of the past 14 months.

gotta love lamar man lol. We expect him to be stressed out about this situation yet he going to concerts and just fking around like its nothing. This shit is small compared to what he likely dealt with in his life

I’m sure his career earnings of 30+
Million, not including endorsements, is helping him sleep easy

I can blame the FO for not getting Lamar a number one guy in his first 5 years. Now... it's Lamar's fault for why he doesn't get Hopkins or Thielen. The NFLPA has poisoned his mind. At this point, move on and find a QB who is a team player.

My boy needs to go back and watch his draft night interview with Prime, remember what’s real.
Easier said than done! That Prime interview with Lamar was on draft night way before the "business" side of NFL contract (for your services) negotiations smacked him in the face! But, I do hope he remembers what's real. He did say; "I'm a Raven" and, "They going to get a Super Bowl out of me!"

It’s not fully guaranteed

There are a few of these players who are cutting out the middleman and representing themselves. Good for them! I like what "Uncle Ro," said about it:

“Nowadays, players want to be at the table for 100% transparency,” Smith said, speaking to reporters Wednesday after the deal was officially announced, “and I think if you’ll be there and you have respect for the guy you’re talking with and you have help from your advisors and things like that, there aren’t things you can’t do.”

Yeah, perhaps Lamar could learn something from Uncle Ro.

“Smith represented himself in contract negotiations, and he said talks started up in mid-December, about six weeks after the Ravens traded for him. He and General Manager Eric DeCosta would talk during players' off days and exchange emails. Smith said DeCosta "kept his word."
"It wasn't an easy process, but I have the utmost respect for Eric," Smith said. "I think he's a very fair, honest guy."
Smith could have waited until the season was over and become an unrestricted free agent, but he wanted to stay. Plus, Smith expressed feeling respect, and perhaps some loyalty, to DeCosta for trading for him.
"That meant a lot to me, like knowing that someone that actually came out to get me," Smith said. "Getting out in free agency, I maybe could have gotten more, but I'm happy where I'm at and I want to be on a team that has a chance to compete year in and year out to hoist the Lombardi. So that's my main goal, and that's my main focus. I knew this place was a place where I can do that year in and year out."

All of these pleasantries that Uncle Ro had to say about EDC after getting paid are nice and all but they don't negate the fact that he also stated his main reason for representing himself in the first place was due to “Players wanting to be at the table for 100% transparency." Larry Tunsil also joined that club of players representing themselves. Good for them!

As far as Lamar? Hopefully, he, EDC, and the Ravens can get a deal done that makes both sides happy so my boy can continue to play like a Raven!

the problem with Lamar representing himself is the NFLPA is involved and using Lamar as a pawn.
