I would imagine if Lamar had something to say, he could contact one of about a thousand reporters, and they'd be on his doorstep within 24 hours ready to print anything and everything he'd say.

Let the man do what he wants on his own terms. No need to be emotional about it and call him a narcissist. Never once have I ever thought of Lamar being narcissistic.

Is it an emotional response or a rational response?
Between the two of us, I think we know who's being the emotional one. Its the guy who's caught up in his feelings so much that he wants to interview himself to discuss them.

More likely is doesn't want to have to answer questions that may be deemed "challenging" by somebody else.

I interview myself every day. It's called self-reflection. Doesn't require an instagram page or a video camera or anything.

Someone else might argue that the entire team is frozen because of the Ravens unwillingness to pay more. They could have made it so Lamar's salary is < 10 mil for next two seasons and put to better use what they're spending on a tag.

...or if they are just commenting on things the way they hope things go in a sort of publicity stunt and aren't really talking to Lamar, he might need to man up and tell them to pound sand because they aren't helping. Don't imagine they'd listen and not sure he sees their intrusion as a negative.

I still don't think he's a narcissist, but I think he's really showing a mixture of selfishness and not "getting it" if you know what I mean. His decision making is really suspect rn

Lol narcissism is running prevalent today not just with Lamar but society. Social media is much to blame as it is an ideal outlet for it. Of course I care about your breakfast, lunch, dinner or your love life issues and drama or your vacations.

Yeah, doing an interview if yourself is pretty narcissistic in the same vein that LeBron taking to TV to announce his decision on where he would go in FA is narcissistic.

Sure, you could say it’s just good business and marketing to capitalise on public commentary as a rebuttal but I have to be real here when I say that my opinion of Lamar has taken a notable hit throughout this process. It has nothing to do with the guaranteed money but his passive aggressive social media comments. There’s no doubt he is an amazing player I want playing for us but he’s showing some of his ass lately and it’s not good. I miss the humble and good natured Lamar who wouldn’t come at a fan on social media.

I question if Lamar was ever a humble guy or if that's an image fans built up for him.
