The Defence, The Refs and The Soul-Crushing, Heart-Breaking Injuries

You know teams get up to play the Ravens. Lol! This is a copycat league. And, if they are smart, the Jaguars will watch the film and then take great notes on how the Panthers neutralized this Ravens offense. Especially the running game for nearly 4 quarters. Hopefully, the Jags don't have the personnel to do it.

will they bring in the wind also as the 12th man

I'm in the win is a win camp, pragmatically, but after getting what I thought we should from the DEF, the OFF was terrible. I didn't expect perfect, there isn't such a thing, but if that side of the ball doesn't figure out how to get out of hibernation after a quarter or two as we progress, there is nothing but heartbreak come January. Sorry to be a downer, but that was after tons of rest and "theoretical" prep.
I've never been in the "a win is a win" camp. Never! Glad for a win of course. But for me, it is more about "how" we won and "how" we looked (played) in gaining the win. The Raven's offense (for nearly 4 quarters) played and looked horrible in this win to me. They had a bye week and were off for nearly 2 weeks. They were rested, played at home in Baltimore, and came out with that :poop: today? That's a problem for me!

Queen is killing it. Hamilton already helped as he got more playing time but now with Smith, Queen has no worries whatsoever and can let loose on every play. Damn shame that we most likely won't be able to keep this LB duo together.

I agree. Thank God our defense played lights out today!

Today's weather was perfect for the Ravens to dominate on the ground and they couldn't and didn't do it against the 3-6 (now 3-7 lol) Panthers at home and after resting on their bye for nearly 2 weeks. Again, their offensive performance is a major issue for me.

I'm with you! Glad we won, as I'm sure you are too, but that was hot-steaming-shit on OFF that needs fixed but fast!

Exactly! Thanks to the defense! But, the Raven's offense needs to really look in the mirror and they should feel embarrassed by that trash they put on the field for nearly 4 quarters. Sure, these are all professionals on both sides of the ball. But, when you have had nearly 2 weeks of rest, watching game film on your opponents, and playing at home in front of your fans, they should have dominated that 3-7 squad instead of playing down to their level. But, hey! That's just my standard and take on the situation.

...it was the wind. (no.)
...it was the cold. (no.)
...it was the zebras. (...a little.)
...it was GR/ coaching. (...probably a lot)
...this OFF is still scary inconsistent. You never know what you are going to get. (true.)

The DEF looked the best it has all year. Sort of what one would expect off of a three week, mid-season Bye!

It's great to be on top of the division but the offense really needs to step up if we're gonna win in the playoffs. This isn't the 2000 defense; it isn't gonna hold teams to under ten points in a playoff game.

Not gonna lie, i think the defense could lmao. If healthy i think our offense just gotta put up maybe 17 points to be in every game, regardless who we face.

Any win is a good win. As long as our D continues to keep us in these games we’ll cruise into the playoffs, especially with our schedule. But once we get there the O is gonna have to turn it up a notch or two.

Really wished we drafted Pickens over Ojabo, given Bateman’s injury. Would’ve been such a big help.

I like Pickens and liked him in the draft, but Ojabo is a top 10 pick that fell because of injury. Ojabo was always being drafted ahead of Pickens.

In a weird twist of fate, I feel like you could argue that Chuck Clark is the weakest link on our defense in its current state, which would have been a wild thought 2 years ago. The only other competitors for that title would be Brandon Stephens (who is starting to settle in as a solidish CB3 in recent weeks) and Odafe Oweh if you even want to classify him as a starter right now.
