The Ugly, The Ugly and The Win I Guess???

If the playcalling is simplified and it sort of works then simplify it for Lamar too. Especially when we struggling to get yards..

Pick up the tempo with Lamar too that can help tire the D... maybe catch their guys out of position but GRo wants to run the play clock to 01 seconds left for Lamar because.....

It is the same talent as the early season with the exception of Bateman. Stanley was out when Lamar was looking like an MVP candidate. The defense is far better, though less so if Queen is out, with the returning players in the LB group and addition of Smith. Either the players are talented or they are not but it is largely the same players as there were on offense when the offense was at its best.
That really trivializes the loss of Bateman and Stanley. Look at how the play calling has changed in his absence. Look at the separation statistics in his absence. Look at the run game values with Stanley vs without.

It's no more complicated than this team needs to be able to run and pass vertically to be successful. It runs poorly without Stanley and it has no vertically in close to two months without Bateman.

When an already thin unit gets thinner losing its only quality player, of course thats gonna have a huge effect

Because Idiot.

Accent on capital I.

This is some bullshit, straight out of facebook/reddit.

Pardon my french and all that.
To each his own. Insane athlete but as the legs go and the injuries pile up, so will his ability to effectively play QB in this league.

I am not trivializing the loss of Stanley but saying that Lamar was at his best this season without him. The run game and pass protection was FAR better with Stanley but Lamar was one of the favorites for MVP after 3 weeks and that was without Stanley (and most of the Linebackers).

If the entire offense somehow lives or dies by Bateman though that is seemingly weird thought to me. Not a top 2 TE in football, not the young rookie TE who has flashed, not the rest of the offensive line, but the team is 1 WR injury from having a QB at an MVP level to cant score a TD? (that is also ignoring the RB room which is better than it was on opening day by a wide margin).

On the topic of Bateman, I remember seeing a tweet of EPOA with Bateman and without Bateman (this was around week 4, so Lamar was still playing well) and the difference was EXTREMELY stark.

And it makes sense. Who's challenging deep consistently and winning for the Ravens now without Bateman? I suppose Desean Jackson, but he's good for like 5 routes a game, so he's not a great replacement. Robinson hasn't shown to be a consistent deep threat and I think we can all agree Duvernay is someone who you scheme open and get into horizontal space because his deep ball tracking isn't it.

Not to mention- you went from having Rashod take the attention of someone like a Sauce Gardner or a Pat Surtain to now having Duvernay or Robinson facing that match up. Like, come on, man. That's just not happening.

There is a large cascading effect because the Ravens receivers are already so weak, even with Bateman, and now they're legitimately worst in the league bad.

Ugh. Disgusting. It was the untrickiest of trick plays in recent memory.
I didn’t not like the play call, Proche just should have thrown it away when Denver didn’t bite. That’s a more than solid D we played today.

Btw, I wonder if Gus is reaaly back, he did not look like himself. Lacked the power we are used to.

And speaking of RBs - Hill is a mystery. Flashes of brilliance at times, but give him the ball in Q4 and he is guaranteed to fumble
Should have drafted a RB early. To think Dobbins and/or Gus would be in top form this year was totally naive. Why does that matter? If you're a run heavy offense its critical, especially if your WR corp is as iffy as ours is. Did they really think Proche and Wallace would be difference makers? On the PS maybe.
