The Ugly, The Ugly and The Win I Guess???

We won but that's far less important than almost everything else that happened.

This game was brutal...

If Lamar's done, the season is over for the 2nd straight year.
PQ's injury is also a major thing we have to find out about - that was an ugly scene.
Mekari's injury also worth monitoring - with Stanley down and not having practiced yet it's a concern that we might have to put Faalele back in (as well as he's done). Our one shining group on offence potentially knee-capped at one position again.

Hamilton and Likely both managed to return which is positive but how nicked up are they going to be now.

Huntley with a great drive to win the game. If Lamar's ok to come back to finish the season then that drive is crucial to our chances of making something of our season. But we got a glimpse of what our non-Lamar offence looks like with our current complement of weapons (and no Stanley) and it probably amounts to pretty close to if not actually the worst offence in the league. If you thought the Ravens offence was unwatchable with Lamar... spoiler alert it's not going to get better.

Roman with one of his worst playcalls ever with that trick play. Defence nearly managed to give it away at the end with only 23 seconds to defend.

Shoutout to Kevon Seymour for being maybe the best player on the field lol.

But if Lamar's done it's the very definition of a pyrrhic victory.

Just think it’s time to be realistic. This was offense was not great with Lamar under center the past couple of years. Now injured for the second straight year. You don’t sell the farm for that guy. This team needs a facelift and another year of Lamar and Roman is not the answer.

It felt like a game right out of the 2021 season, when Lamar went down.

One exception, the Ravens found a way to win. It wasn't very pleasant to watch, but they got the job done. For that they deserve some credit.

Lamar's health becomes priority #1 now.

This is absolutely 2021 all over again. Same record too. Difference is that Huntley won a game. All I ask for are at least 2 more wins.

The offense looked bad but it was not worse than expected to be honest. The stat to pound the rock on is that the Broncos would be the number 1 seed in the AFC if their offense could score 18 points each game and while it was again ugly it was still a win though the team needs to stop looking better than the other but not showing it on the scoreboard for most of the game because that has happened for several weeks in a row now.

As for Lamar even in the worst case it will not go the same as last year. The difference between this year and last year is that last year the toughest games on the Ravens schedule were in the last half of the year so coupled with the injuries the team could simply not overcome. This is the opposite and the Ravens are likely still going to make the playoffs and probably win the division with the schedule the Bengals have left but without Lamar this is not a Super Bowl roster anymore and that is ignoring the other injuries.

Also while harping on the offense being bad, can we point out Geno also had a rough day? I believe both long passes were on him.

Can we give Huntleys playbook to Lamar please? I swear we only run slants and crosses when Huntley is in the game

the huntley playbook is awful lol - it's so simple, so 1-read and go, so shallow

on the surface it looks great because he went 27/32 and rushed another 10 times for 40 yards

but then you realise that despite 27 completions he had less than 200 yds...
for context that would tie the season's lowest YPA number (coincidentally held by joe flacco lol) - and would blow the league out of the water in YPC... (where this game he was at 6.9 and no one in the league through their season has been below 9)

That was pathetic shit on offense. The defense played well undeniably, but then with 23 seconds literally gave the game away. We're just fortunate to have had their kicker miss.

Every facet of the team is underperforming. The team was really lifeless for a long portion of that game.

The offense isn't fixable.
The defense just needs to get its shit together in the 4th but I don't know what that problem is.
STs outside of Kevon Seymour and Tucker has been atrocious

This team is bad.
