Spoiler alert they do because the NFL conversion rate on 4th and 1 is 70% and when your offensive line is better than average and their run defense is worse that number is more in your favor. You are right that there is not going to be a statistically significant sample size for any one team in any one year but fortunately numbers are tracked beyond that so you can take the fact that you have a far better than average run game with the fact that they have a worse than average run defense and use them to deal with the NFL average. This is not complicated math.

Precisely. This arrogant fucker is going to cost us this game. Last year, his boneheaded and arrogant fucking calls did our season in. This year, I won't put it past this fool to do it again. First of all, he is not a game planner (Xs and Os guy) and he's neither an offensive or defensive specialist. He is a good motivator and leader. So the most important quality he really needs is to make in-game adjustments and good calls of when to challenge and when to go for it. He has a horrible record on both.
