The Defence, The Offence and The Clutching Defeat from the Jaws of Victory

D was playing well, thinking Harbs would have taken it to OT, especially considering the season long issues in the RZ.

bengals hadnt done anything on offence since the first drive of the 2nd half
think harbs would have been happy to take it to OT

While I always felt we had a better than average chance to win this game, If I'm being honest I would have to say we get smoked in KC. In a melancholy way it's good we lost.

Maybe. Urban does have some experience working with good offensive minds such as Andy Reid, Hue Jackson and Jay Gruden. It be interesting to see what type of offense he would run though but we shall see if he's the next guy in line for the OC job if the The Ravens allow Romans contract expire
back in 2016 James Urban was credited with developing Tyler Boyd.

Urban is the next OC, if we stay in house.

This will truly be my last reply to you because you've clearly got an agenda.

1. Who do I believe- the player with the team literally every single day who sees Lamar every single day or the retired coach who abandoned his team when things were about to get rough and who isn't in the locker room? Let me go with the latter and his unnamed sources.

2. It's team policy he wouldn't travel. Again, guys like Pierce, Fuller, Bateman, etc. weren't there. Dobbins said he went to ZERO games. Flying doesn't help swelling at all and if the team said stay home, he has to stay home.

3. You really think the team didn't tell Huntley to stay low? You're really reaching so far that Lamar is the difference in Huntley not being an idiot?

People with an agenda are wild.
Lamar would have told him to go over the top, didn’t he do that in a playoff game?

I have no agenda . Lamar is my favorite Raven . We will never really know if Lamar could have seen something on the field to help Tyler out.

Nobody want to call Lamar out with their name on it. Only Watkins did. They might have to play with him next year.
You’re right, players tend to stick together and tow the company line. That’s why I admire Watkins for giving an HONEST opinion. Nothing wrong with that unless you really don’t want to hear what he has to say.

I think this would be a great direction to head, especially if we have to start over at QB. Not sure about his play calling abilities, but he's a great developmental coach. Probably just a matter of time before he gets a promotion, might as well be here.

John just isn’t an emotional leader. He has plenty of faults don’t get me wrong and I think you can say he sometimes holds past performance higher than he should but I wouldn’t say he’s entirely wrong for keeping Roman last year. This next offseason though I have to say I am firmly more in the fire Roman camp than in the past. If it was just this game that’s one thing but it’s layered issues now
Oh Roman’s gotta go and there’s no debate anymore. But I too was in the “give it one more shot” camp

the Eagles wanted to interview him after the 2019 season, but he declined.

Then why would Marlon go out of his way to say that Lamar was only 50-60% back? If that were the case he wouldn't say anything about it.

We’re a better team than they are and it’s fucking injuries that always gives them the edge
Last night was not necessarily the injuries issue. The "QB" turned the ball over 2x and then, the offense had horrendous clock management down the stretch, and once again the ball was taken out of the hands of the RBs when it counted most.
