The 2023 Offseason Thread

Was reading this also. Found it fascinating.
No wonder Saunders is gone.

Which by the way... its an embarrassing look.

There were only five teams league-wide who got lower than an A- rating for Strength staff. And three of those teams got B's, which means they're at least respectable.
The Falcons and the Ravens were the only teams to get poor grades for strength staff. Everybody else, league wide, is basically great at it.

Strength staff and training staff were the only two categories that basically universally everybody but a small group of teams are great at. And we're one of those teams (for Strength Staff only).
Was that the cause of all the injuries?

Also EDC simply just acknowledged what we've been saying for a long time now that the pay scale for WR is simply crazy, and that's because it's an important position. That's why guys are getting over drafted.

He says they "learned" that last year.

oh wow this is hilariously damning of steve saunders lol...

on this basis, i cant believe it took this long to move on from him

Derek Wolfe, Carl Davis, the NFLPA article, the covid stuff, the horrible amount of injuries.... I mean wtf. There's no chance players haven't been complaining for awhile.

I mean wtf is Harbs doing? How did we not poach someone from a team doing great and just fork over a little extra money? We replaced the worst guy in the league with the guy who was the assistant to the worst guy in the league. All he knows is Saunders shit.

Harbs not even looking at ANY Georgia tape. Not getting a better strength and conditioning coach, talking about Canales' faith, evaluating prospects based on their heart (I don't believe there's even one other coach in the NFL that would have it within themselves to utter something like that) etc.

The guy is a players coach and he keeps a great lockeroom no doubt. But my God is he not an Xs and Os guy and my God is he too loyal to people who don't deserve it.

NOT SUGGESTING WE FIRE HARBS. It's just some of his limitations are so frustrating.

Lamar gifted him at least 4 years in Baltimore, he was a dead man walking. Too bad he didn't learn anything.

I really don’t think that’s the case. John has equal share in righting the ship under Lamar. He also deserves a lot of credit for keeping the team relevant post Super Bowl with some shit rosters. We’re upset about the lack of playoff wins during that time, but I’m impressed how competitive we were with some of those terrible draft classes.
