If he doesn't get an OC gig this year, and he stays in Seattle for another year, and Geno thrives like he did this past season, he'll 100% get an OC job next year.

Would also say that Shane Waldron will likely get some mild interest for HC gigs in the future, including possibly with Seattle itself, given that Pete Carroll is one of the oldest coaches in the league (may actually be the oldest... can't remember).

If I'm him, I'm not moving for a lateral move, and I'm definitely not moving for a lateral move under a new OC.

Good points-if he's interviewing for OC that's what he"ll be offered. Personally I hope he gets it-young guy with some new ideas

Agreed. Think there's likely some promise there based on his last 2 games with the Broncos, but that offense was so much of a mess all season that I don't trust it completely.

Remains to be seen if there's interest. I think they're just suggesting that there's two guys still coaching that they MIGHT have interest in. Obviously EB is one, but I think they're just speculating that if you're going to wait on EB and interview him after the SB, they may just add Johnson to that list.

I honestly can't remember, but I thought it was fairly routine for guys to interview this week (the week before the SB) for potential gigs, but they just won't commit to leave until after the SB.

They have a new rule this year where if you haven't interviewed a candidate prior to a certain cutoff, you can't interview them until after the SB. Forget what the cut off is exactly but would imagine it had a lot to do with us being in the playoffs and then not officially pulling the plug on Roman until closer to a week later.

Not necessarily saying that's a bad thing, given our TE room looks a hell of a lot better than our WR room at the moment, but I would think that would turn off the crowd that wants to see less 12 or 22 personnel groupings and see more 11 personnel groupings.

The "fix" at receiver would be to utilize Likely more with Andrews.
 
Been discussing cap situation with some local Baltimore beat writers and others. There's a consensus among a lot of people that Ravens basically can't keep Lamar under the tag past the near-draft deadline. Either they extend him or trade him. I'm not really buying into that yet, but there's a consensus of people that think its not feasible. Will see.

On same topic... everybody seems to be on board with the fact that IF he plays on the tag, given the cap restraints and lack of draft picks, trading Queen is very much in play. I think he's getting traded next year regardless, but if they're serious about carrying Lamar on the tag and want any respectable flexibility to make offseason acquisitions to upgrade this team, they either need cap space or more draft picks.
