The 2023 Offseason Thread

guys i think we should be interviewing (if they're amenable)

Brian Johnson (Eagles QB coach and former Florida OC)
Joe Brady (Bills QB coach and former Panthers and LSU OC)
Frank Reich
Pep Hamilton
Klint Kubiak
Matt Nagy

and obviously if the Bieniemy rumours are true that he might looking for a lateral move somewhere away from Reid, then you have to make sure you interview him

and you've got to let James Urban, Tee Martin etc. have a fair shake at an interview too

this is the first time we'll be interviewing properly for a new OC since we hired Marc Trestman... Marty was an interim guy who took-over long-term and Roman succeeded him without much of a process
Bobby Slowik, Jim Caldwell

I will say that I'm going to miss some of Roman's designed runs. His ability to craft some of those pulls to exactly the right spot was a thing of beauty. Dude could make a living as the premiere run game coordinator.

That’s where I’m at with it

lol some people are getting overly wrapped up in a narrative that really doesnt exist

Harbs doesnt only hire HIS guys

the most HIS guy hire was Marty and that was an in-season change

he gets this reputation because he doesnt change coordinators all the time

i just dont see him even interviewing taggart, let alone hiring him lol - he was here for 1 practice as a favour after he just lost his job and missed out on a job he wanted

What time is press conference?

As long as runs are farther than 15y from goal line

Yeah he kind of changed my way of how I look at offensive linemen. In his offense it's like they are weapons too. I was hoping maybe The Ravens could keep him on board in some kind of role but it's understandable for the departure completely. I bet it wont be long before he is hired as OC again.

Think Lamar’s happy.

If Lamar’s happy. I’m happy.

those QB designed runs on counter bash plays with Ricard kicking out and either Powers or Bozeman (depending on the year) pulling to lead behind a RT+Boyle double-team were unreal

so many house calls on that 1 play - all it takes is 1 LB to hesitate and Boyle climbed to L2 and suddenly Lamar was 1v1 with a safety 15 yards downfield - and that's if the safety didn't take the bait on the RB on the veer
