The 2023 Offseason Thread

Starting to feel like the franchise tag is unrealistic. We’d have to make some legitimate cuts to fit Lamar, rookies, and Zietler under the cap. Feels more and more like it’s a long term deal or a trade

Been saying this for awhile. Totally agree that the tag and then possibly the second tag and this whole horrible process will be fiscally irresponsible and taxing on everyone

Fun thing with a potential trade is that another team is going to have to be willing to pay him big money/what he wants. No one's giving up all of that capital without a deal in place. Based on how things have been going for us, I have a hard time believing a team is going to get that done in a timely manner unless they're saying fuck it like the Browns, but I don't believe that's going to happen. Could be wrong but this isn't easy on any side.

I prefer no post apocalyptic love seen, gay or straight. But I’m a huge fan of his home defense . Kinda angry I don’t have Vietnam War style death traps set up around my house. Damn HOA

Didn't like the direction of the last episode. They better be non stop from here on out. Next episode should be good.

If they're going to move Lamar wouldn't like it but would accept it. All I ask is whoever the hell we have at QB next we invest in their weapons and build an offense for them to thrive and grow in. Still pisses me off his rookie deal was wasted unlike these other young guys. Also wouldn't be shocked if we were the first team to say we'll keep a complete roster and swap out qbs when the deals up(until you find the perfect fit).

Saw something about multiple offers from teams including another player. Who would you think they're talking about? There's the obvious roster cuts bit would have to assume younger starter. Possibly Queen? One of the TEs.

Yea i was under the impression we had 40+ in cap space and then all the escalators and what not hit. I still think we could do the exclusive tag but it will come at the expense of depth at multiple positions.

Texans , Saints , Commanders, Giants , Panthers maybe …. Just take one desperate fool. I’ve been team trade Lamar for a while now but even I have to admit losing him for a kings ransom still leaves a bad taste

If we landed CJ to pair with this defense and use the cap space to bring in a weapon , I would be ecstatic
