The 2023 Offseason Thread

At least in my native language, "being a zero" means "loser", but I guess it doesn't translate into English
That’s what i thought you were referring to but like… it’s just a jersey number lol it ain’t that deep. Just so you know, idk your native language but I dont think there’s a single person who would see you with a roquan smith 0 jersey and think “loser”

Lol 0 people would think that

That’s exactly what I’m saying, I think he’s a starter, but I dont think he’s this no ceilings kinda player we expected due to his athleticism, I think more likely is that his athleticism allows him to play well despite lacking things like bend and timing and disengage technique

I mean I think he’ll be better though - he’s still just an underdeveloped pass rusher - he’s not super bendy but he doesn’t need to be - just needs to be quicker off the ball and find a secondary rush move

Think, especially if we re-sign Houston, that we’ll see oweh rushing against guards and IOL more this year

Can someone tell me anything positive about JAD? Lol I need some reason to even hope he won't get us killed if he has to go on the field for any amount of time.

Traits and fit

He’s inexperienced and has struggled to stay on the practice field and the football field - he’s got everything you could want in terms of traits - just needs time to develop

He’s the kind of guy who could take a massive jump in year 2 if he stays healthy

Ok let's hope he can be AA or a little better. I hope we don't have to see him his the year with Marlon, RYS, and Stephens ahead of him. But maybe going into year 3 he can provide some serviceable play after developing more.

If we do have to see him, I hope he can also stay healthy and that year 1 helped him out mentally.

I think he’s exactly in that AA frame - traitsy from Alabama - might need to fail a few times to develop but could become an important part of our depth and rotation

Hehe, zero people around here would even know what sport that jersey is for. Around here there are approximately one person I know who have ever watched an NFL game. Excluding myself

Frankly there’s only one trajectory for JAD, injuries until the final year of his rookie deal then he balls.

Do you love Scandinavia? Im not sold on spending my entire life living in the US and I’m not talking retirement age
I do, but I am of course biased. Things have been going a bit downhill the last decade wrt crime and shite like that, but in smaller towns like where I live, life is great. Winters are too long up here in the northern part, but nature is awesome and life is nice and safe from the rest of the world...

Crime eh? I grew up in Baltimore and currently live 15 minutes south of Baltimore, so I’d imagine if your crime rate multiplied 10x over it would probably still be an upgrade lol. Scandinavia would be top of the list if I were to move out of the country
