2023 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

Alrighty. It took slightly longer than expected, but the SoF is now fully up to date. The starting cap numbers, the draft picks, the roster size were added in for all 32 teams and should be accurate within reason. This was done in a single go. I can't promise that it's entirely error free and I would strongly recommend double checking if possible. The Rules Thread is also officially up, thanks to @Simba and @RavensMania. They did a lot of the heavy lifting to get us here, while I admittedly dragged my feet, which is one of my biggest issues. Big round of kudos to both of them for all of the effort they've put in.

The process can officially begin at 8 PM. Remember that no official moves can begin until your depth chart and SoFs are posted and are up to date (the latter obvious moot at this point).

On a forgotten update, we were hoping to switch to OverTheCap this year. However, in doing research, I found that their voided contracts weren't listed appropriately, their rollover and adjustments weren't available, and several of the team salary caps were significantly off when doing the math inverse, with no explanation given. I do think they could be a bit more accurate on a per contract basis (Spotrac, for example, listed at least one player's per game number at 16 instead of 17). It was just unfortunate that their biggest disparities and omittances would have been the most detrimental to our process.

Big and important note! I did not go through the voidable contracts on any of the rosters. Those players should not count towards the roster totals and each team would need to remove them from the roster total. Thankfully they are listed in yellow on each roster and are difficult to miss. I have also made PDF back ups of all of your rosters after roster lock! Remember to keep that in mind in case a player disappears and you don't know what their salaries numbers were.

Just remember, any player that gets cut from your team at this point doesn't count in the Forum Mock due to Roster Lock.
 
Bruh my cap was worse than I thought lol. Officially starting at -58 stars. Roster numbers were inflated by the Saints insistence on those void contracts.
 
Couldn't pass up on getting my favorite non-Ravens player, Mad Maxx Crosby on my team, and I wanted to move down anyway. Chandler still has a little juice left too. Getting both at 7.5 stars each was a steal

Their contracts still count correct? They’re just removed from the roster total?
