I took them over at the end last year, so I got some unfinished business with them. Plus they were my #1 team left. (And I am a Patriots fan as well, but that did not play any role at all)

Yeah, and I don't see how keeping Lamar is realistic within the rules of the Forum Mock. So, I mean I know I'm not really supposed to say this yet, but everyone, please expect to see him in FA

and we will show you how to do it @Thezone27 Very easy ways to clear space and apply either the exclusive tag or non exclusive tag. Exclusive tag numbers aren't listed in the rules thread yet but will be around 45m. Non exclusive is 32 and you'd still get 2 1st round picks from another team who wants to take him from you.

But I don't want to sign him. I don't like the way this is set up to trade, because I can't sign him and be over the cap, and then trade him, which is what I want to do. If I can't do that, then in my opinion, trading him isn't worth it, and i'll let him walk, and go after a QB in FA.

In my mind, a good situation is better than a good QB, so Lamar will NOT becoming back to the ravens. period. I will be focusing on weapons, period. Thank you very much everybody.

do you understand you can save money in multiple places across the roster
restructure Ronnie Stanley save 7 stars
cut Zeitler - save 6.5 stars
cut Campbell - save 7.0 stars
cut Gus - save 5.0 stars
cut Clark - save 3.5 stars
cut Duvernay - save 4.5 stars
and we don't allow teams to come above the cap just to trade someone. It's not allowed in the NFL either.
You could apply the non exclusive franchise tag pretty easily for 32.5 stars

But I don't want to do it, because I believe that AB can be a Brock Purdy if he has weapons, so that is my focus, and NOT Lamar. If I could extend or truly trade him, I would, but do you realize how this is detrimental t our already-not-in-SB-contention roster So, I'm sorry you have a different opinion, but this is not a stupid move, San Fran realizes how smart this is, and I do too.
I just wanted to make sure you understood you could make room. It's your team and you are the general manager. We can't extend because this is a 1 year game, it's also why the restructure and June 1 cut/trade is different in the Forum Mock.

I for one completely understand why cutting a bunch of players and then paying Lamar at least 32.5 Stars is not the way @Thezone27 wants to go. (especially with somewhat meh players around him)

I wanted to keep him, but the rules of this mock don't allow me to do what I want to do with him. If I can't do that, then he is just walking.
