2023 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

Was heavily considering Wright if he were available, Ringo is a nice consolation prize as a toolsy guy who can learn under Patrick Peterson.

Well today has been a bust. Reminder again to pass on boards and pay attention to when you're coming up. We've been quite slow out of the gate this year.

The Vikings may be set at OT, but had to take Big Thanos. He's a freaking monster, and I'll let the coaches figure out who plays where on the OL.
Had the same feeling when I took Darnell Wright, with Tunsil at LT I am absolutely set. Wright may only be able to play RT which doesn't bother me at all having Tunsil.
I currently have Tytus Howard on the right side who is in the last year of his contract so Wright can fit in rather nicely then, outplay him now or one gets moved to a different position.
And you can never go wrong with your best available

For real Simba... :crying:
Great picks, I Like Mazi Smith a lot.
Robbed my first 2

I will take some time, I am currently at work, gonna pick a bit later

Was excited to get two ascending players at this stage of the game. Mazi Smith clearly needs some work but the flashes are there in spades. DL is also a huge need for NO. Drew Sanders is a do it all type of guy who will probably end up as more of a pass rusher for me. I think if he could tackle more consistently, we’d be talking about him in the top half of round 1 based on skill set alone.

Haha sorry man. Smith was a no brainer for me. I waffled back and forth for a few with Sanders as my BPA and another guy as one I just like, and decided to stick to my board. Blame the Ravens for engraining BPA in my head all these years.

Although I'm not a huge fan of the off ball linebackers in this class, Drew Sanders was my top player at that position and probably the right time to take him. Mazi Smith was my other choice when I took Anton Harrison.

I wouldnt call him an off ball LB tbh, I could see him excel on the edge and play more in a tweener role.
Yeah I'm kind of looking at him as a pseudo-off ball type of guy. Shows on the tape that he's adept enough in coverage and pursuit to do some of that stuff, but he'd theoretically just be a guy that I want to eat and do what he does best. Usually when I build a 4-3 team, my SLB isn't always a traditional SLB. It's a guy that I can use in a multitude of ways.
